@BigBama504

Trent Richardson was shut down in the first game. He had two long recieving plays off busted coverages and that was about it. When you carry the ball 23 times and are considered the best back in college football, 89 yards is insufficent (sorry if that was too big of word for you to understand). Additionally, he had a number of rushes for negative yardage late in the game which proved costly.

LSU D > TR, sorry buddy

More power running early, period. All four guys are adept and running between the tackles. Hammer them early, then hit them with the option and jet sweeps along with play action before making their collective asses quit by the fourth quarter.

Not trying to nash hairs or butt heads with the tiger faithful but all this Bama bashing and talk of us not deserving to play in this game is total BS and you KNOW it... You dont think so lets revisit 2007 and then you can continue with the ignorance:
1. #7 LSU played #14 Tennessee and they won 21-14.
2. #7 LSU jumped five teams to get in the title game against Ohio St.
3. What just happened? How did LSU jump over five teams? LSU played the #14 Tennessee Vols, who ended the season with a record of 9-4, and beat them 21-14.

Ahh I see so SEC Champion LSU is the same as 2nd in the west Alabama.

we lost a game on Nov 5th we should of won

But you didn't

ok st lost to iowa st

They also beat more ranked teams than Bama and won their conference.

quote:

yet you say they deserve to be there

They did but it's cool beating Bama again will be more satisfying than beating OSU.

Get real and stop being cowards if your so sure your the best team in country then play the ONLY #2 team in the country and quit bitching about it.

Bama fans are funny.

One of many. However if it were easy as that, it wouldn't be SEC!

Fact is Bama's defense will shut you down again just like last time and barring another 2-6 FG outting you will lose and cry about a split NC... Or how its not fair since you beat us in the regular season blah blah blah...

Fact is your illustrious D all but quit by the end of the game and was getting gashed by the Tiger ground game, just like everybody else when it counted most. Fact is, your kickers didn't miss ANY high percentage kicks and the only one that should have been makeable was Blocked by a great defensive player. Funny how your facts ain't facts Bubba. Thanks for playing. Seeya!

Now that I think about it, that Updyke character might be a little too upscale for the typical Alabama fan!

No, facts do belong here. Like the fact that LSU won on Nov 5th.
Facts like that don't belong in gump land.
You really think your gumps will win in New Orleans? Good luck with that. Nov 5th was a fluke. LSU will win by two scores this time. Get ready for the depression , AGAIN!

God..this never gets old.

Why should you of won it...because your BAMA?

With that line of thinking...I guess I should of won the powerball last week, so now I can go to the bank put that on my credit report for my 10 million dollar loan!!

LSU won the SEC championship and defeated seven ranked teams in winning the BCSNC which was a record until this season. Far superior to anything 'Bama has done this season.

This is probably hard for you to understand, but let's try.

In week 14 these were the BCS rankings:

1. Missouri
2. West Virginia
3. Ohio State
4. Georgia
5. Kansas
6. Virginia Tech
7. LSU

- Mizzouri and West Virginia lost.
- Georgia couldn't win its own division because it couldn't beat those #14 Tennessee Vols that we did with our backup QB.
- Remind me, which league does Kansas play in? I'm sure they must have played for the league title.

So shuffling the order after that week you have

1. Ohio State
2. Virginia Tech
3. LSU

Anyone who thinks that VaTech was better than LSU that year needs to stop watching football. Schedules being equal, it was demonstrated on the field that VaTech was not at all comparable to LSU. Was this holdover from '03 when the Sooners were just put in the game to lose - maybe, but even Mark Richt said (while kinda dancing around the issue) that if the rule that Conference Championships should be required to play for National Championships would be a rule that he probably would have supported if proposed at the beginning of a season.

If anything, the precedent that 2007 set was ignored to allow Alabama to play this season.

Pound Hilliard inside on counters and dives....Option with Ford on outside. My gameplan would be to wear down the backbone of their defense. The linebackers. Might not be pretty the first half but the fatigue will set in mid 3rd and all the 4th. One thing Id like to see against those aggressive linebackers is to try and run seam routes and drags behind them to peterson to keep them honest. If they have one eye on the tight end it will give us enough time to get to them for a gain on the ground. Use their aggressiveness against them.

Don't forget. We had a nice cool night when playing at Bama. The Superdome will be warm, and conditioning will play a major factor(especially with the long lay off). On defense, our defensive line will be fresh throughout, because we rotate so many bodies. Linebackers will be fine, but I worry a little bit about our corners. I believe we'll be fine at corner also. Offensively, we'll have no problem with conditioning whatsoever!!!! Bama doesn't have near the depth we have, and this will be HUGE in the 2nd half!!! Bama WILL surely get worn down!!!

LOL, Why? Refs in your pocket like last time? Home Cooking? It wasn't because Bama won it on the field.

And LSU OWNED your Asses in Overtime.
