Those inside the city of Tuscaloosa, Ala., have probably been extremely tense and nervous since Oklahoma State's annihilation of Oklahoma Saturday night.
The Cowboys' 44-10 beat down of Oklahoma was the last thing that Alabama and its fans wanted to see as they anxiously await the final BCS standings of the year.
But things are looking up for Alabama, which entered the weekend second in the BCS standings.
Even though Oklahoma State made up some nice ground on Alabama in the coaches poll, Alabama remains No. 2 and ESPN BCS guru Brad Edwards said that according to sources, the Crimson Tide also ranks second in the Peter Wolfe poll, which is one of the six computer polls.
By Edwards' calculations, Oklahoma State would have to be ranked second in the Harris poll in order to jump Alabama in the final BCS standings.
If Alabama remains second, which Edwards expects, Alabama will get a rematch with LSU in the Allstate BCS National Championship Game down in New Orleans. LINK

No he is right Bama is in
It's not hard to figure out. There is huge money at stake here. Espn has had the fix in just two weeks after bammer lost they were already back in the bcscg.
Sagarin poll is most likely manipulated with no real way to find out because the math formula to determine it is not public knowledge ....ever.
we need to crush them in the rematch or they may just cheat their way to another rematch.

He went to Alabama. Along with Rece Davis.
Unfortunately, he's right this time.

If Bama gets in, what did beating them in Tuscaloosa mean? Nothing. It cost them nothing. They get the same bowl money, more of a recruiting advantage because they had all this week off (for one). Other than being ranked number 2, the loss to an in division rival at home had no bearing on the success of their season. If they end up 12-1 with a win over us they raise a trophy for doing no more than LSU did. In fact with Georgia Southern and Kent State on their schedule they would have still done less.

Edwards "Projects"....how can this clown call it a projection when ESPN has given him the harris votes and the computer results so he can do the BCS countdown show tonight? Easy to be a guru when you can the results before everyone else and then can "project" them to the public.

If he has really seen the Harris poll, espn should fire his arse being that espn has the exclusive unveiling rights to the bcs.
They should actually fire him because his expertise has been wrong countless times this year, and though he is likely right this time, this would royally piss me off if I was an espn exec

How accurate is bcsguru.com? It looks like it back up. Just read the article you were talking about.

If he has seen the Wolfe poll and Bama is #2, it should be a done deal for Bama.
