Jarrett as the honorary starter in the Championship

I think it would be a class act for Les to honor what Lee did for this year's team by letting him start the first series...However, I agree that JJ should be the primary QB for the game.

Lee's done getting meaningful snaps.
There's no such thing as an honorary starter. I feel for him, but unless he gets diagnosed with Leukemia or is crippled in a car accident, it ain't happening.

Horrible/really stupid idea.

He'll get a ring just like everyone else.
You people really need to let this go.
He did his job...he did what he was supposed to do. He is OWED nothing more for doing what he was supposed to do.

We should honor him why? So he doesn't cry on the sidelines anymore? Or because he deserves respect from CLM and CLM treated him unfairly????

Is this YMCA ball where everyone gets a trophy? Should he have probably put him in earlier when the game was basically over....yes. Does it really matter NOOOOO.
JJ is the QB of this team.

i agree it is an insult. Not to mention I for one would like to see a qb out there who could actually help LSU get a first down in the first half. Maybe he should be the real starter!

Lee aint playing no matter what people. just let it go.

Lee is not going to play anymore. It may piss some of you off or rub you the wrong way, that is fine. But it needs to be accepted. Lee is the back up. Always has been the back up and always will be the back up.
Accept it and move on man.

I'm literally as big of a Lee supporter as there is and I think that idea is foolish. Start Lee if it is a part of your game plan/strategy in winning the game. Don't start him for some sentimental reasons.
This is the national championship game, absolutely no time to frick around with anything except a game plan to win. If you're up big and the game is in hand, then you can ponder the idea of some playing guys for those reasons. Otherwise, just play to win.

Sadly this is true. If he didn't get in after the horrible 1st half JJ had there is nothing that will get him in the game. All this talk Miles talked earlier in the year about we will use both QB's and whichever one gives us the best chance to win was bullshite until JJ got back into game shape. I think this will have an affect on recruiting, not a major impact but there will be recruits who will look at how JL was handled.

Oh, for God's sake. I assure you not a single recruit will be lost because of this "controversy" that is of major importance only in the heads of a segment of the LSU fanbase.

That's stupid. Les would be intelligent to give Lee a series when JJ is playing poorly. Lee's shown the ability to successfully lead this offense. I would love know Les' logic here but unfortunately he will never say anything meaningful and that's probably b/c his decision isn't based on what's best for the team.
And blah, blah, blah...I know all he does win but the d and the best talent in the country can erase a lot of mistakes.

Didn't say one would be lost, but they will think about this! And your a dumbass if you think it won't.
