yeah, you can't throw 39 TDs breaking the record by having ONE good game.

OP premise is retarded.

He was on the radar before that game. He just moved up about 3 spots in the rankings after that game.

RGIII was the first guy on the radar not named Luck after his great performance against TCU in the first game of the season!

Why do people forget this?

That goes back to about reason #1, "preseason hype". RGIII is the best college qb this season.

This.

I think Trent Richardson should win (big surprise huh? ) but if RG3 was to get it over him, then I would have absolutely NO problem with it. Any of the others however and thats a whole different story. Luck has no business even in the conversation with some of the games he has played this year. Unfortunately he will get a good amount of the votes just because he came back for his sr season.

I think its down to RG3 and Trent Richardson. None of the others can carry their jock straps IMO.

Where were you the first 5 weeks of the season?

Most preseason predictions had

1) Luck
2) Landry Jones
3) LaMichael James
4) Kellen Moore

Jones and James flip-flopped for the most part but PLENTY of people were saying "it is Luck's to lose".

RG3 caught fire for a little while then sort of died off and then came back to life after the OU game. By that point, Richardson was moving up. It wasn't until the last few weeks there was a strong push for all 3.

That TD pass against OU to win the game was about as good a play as I've ever witnessed. He deserves a trip to NY.

I have told about 4 people today alone that that was the prettiest play to win a game I think I have ever witnissed. Just a beautiful throw running left and throwing back across his body something like 40 yards perfectly into the corner of the endzone.

Give Chip Kelly a RGIII caliber qb and watch out.

That was a great play. I hate using the term and I think it is pretty dumb to factor in...but that was a "Heisman moment".

Side note:
I began to hate that term after the BC - VT game in 2007 when VT played a shitty prevent D, brought no pressure, gave Matt Ryan about an hour to throw the ball, and the announcers were sucking his nuts like he was Manning 2.0.

If A&M had hired Briles like I thought they should have instead of Sherman, look out.

ETA: for those that don't know RGIII was committed to Houston and followed Briles to BU.

A&M should be calling Briles if Sumlin turns them down. Which he won't.

RGIII has just been spectacular all season long.

Apparently, Saban came courting Mariota, our redshirting qb last year.

We are courting Jaboo Winston as well. He would be scary in yalls offense. Not only athletic as hell but has a pocket quarterback arm. Hoping we can get him. He is committed to FSU right now but word is he isnt happy with the offense they ran this year and is looking to go elsewhere. :fingerscrossed:

Rodrigues was Oregon's number one QB on the board for this year's class. He is rated #6 on the rivals. Chip made some interesting offers though.

Yep. Luck was preordained (in the minds of some) to win the award but RGIII and a couple of others were definitely on the radar as runner ups. What happened along the way is Luck it turns out may be the best pro prospect but isn't the best college player.

RGIII just vaulted luck IMO in the OU game, but still needs a solid showing vs UT considering his team isn't elite.

Tyran Mathieu says hello. I don't care that he was suspended for one game. He's the best playmaker in college football this year, and that's saying a lot since he plays defense.

Speaking of which, Keenum is bust playing his way off my ballot.

This is why you are ignorant. Keenum is/was not better than Luck.

But you are strictly a stat only guy that ignores the intangibles.

Stats only types are for losers.

Did you see the video posted earlier? If not, get enlightened a little.

You construct your arguments nicely and have perrty sentences and all, but it reeks of a geek who only looks at numbers on a chart instead of looking at other factors.

Flatter us with your "purrrty" sentences full of cute stats and bs.
