Not your normal combinations, but its what you had at the time........whatcha got???

I was home alone (scary right...lol) and didn't feel the need to cook a meal. I had a nice pot of Butter Beans (cooked in a Ham Stock I might add), but no cornbread or rice. So I ate em over Grits.............

Butter Beans & Grits.......GTFO........

Man that was some good stuff........

when I'm hungry and in a rush I just take a couple spoonfulls of peanut butter.

In college, for cheap meals, I would grill potatoe wedges and black eyed peas together and smash them up a bit. A can of BEP's and a potato or two would give me about 5-7 sandwiches.

Grilled Spam on white bread and mayo.

And butter beans and grits is old southern Georgia like shrimp and grits. You just have good taste and you didn't know it.

I'll eat potted meat on a saltine at the farm or on the boat with a Delaware Punch.

Armour Dried Beef on toast. Also known as shite on a shingle.

Tree, that is not strange, it is very southern in fact. Rednecks knew about polenta before it was food for snobs.

You can find Delaware Punch pretty much anywhere around here. It's made by Coca Cola now.

I made cheese spaghetti yesterday for lunch and my husband was going on and on about how good it was. He asked what I did differently? I told him it was a combination of every block and bag of cheese bits we had left.

You might want to share the recipe with Zach so he can get all Pavlovian while his wife is at work.
