So, Alabama's biggest crime is being in the SEC West? Let's just switch Alabama and OSU, conference-wise. Bama's in the Big12, OSU in the SECW. Bama is undefeated, OSU lost only to LSU. Then, does Bama deserve a shot? They're the same team as they were.

The real question I'd like you to answer: Is Alabama the 2nd best team in the country? That, truly truly, is all that matters.

Yes, because osu would have had their shot and lost.

Not really, a couple of time in the past years the best team did nit make it in over the most deserving. 03, 06, 07 come to mind.

Well we know for a fact that they aren't #1. Let's see if someone else can play the game.

Crime? I don't know about that but it certainly doesn't help them currently.

No, because that's not going to happen. You know it and I know it.

Of course. The same #2 team that got beat at home by the same #1 team.

What exactly are you getting at? Other than 1 should play 2. Ok, that's happened and we beat them.

And? We're going to let them go on cruise for over a month while LSU plays a conference championship game and risks injuries to players?

Bama didn't even win the west, let alone the SEC. But let's hold the door to the Superdome open because they stayed at 2.

Bull freaking shite.

Had they beaten LSU, being in the SEC West would not have mattered one bit. They couldn't.

There is absolutely no objective way to determine that. It stands that there is no controversy about who #1 is. Forget Houston....they're in a pathetic conference.

My question to you is: What is more important, a loss on the road or a loss at home? A loss at home should carry more weight, no matter the opponent.

If I were you, I wouldn't try to argue your point as to why Alabama "should" be in the game.

The 2 best teams did play....on Nov. 5th.
Moral victories don't count in college football...wait....they do now.

What a precedent this has set.

What angers so many outside of the realm of Bama is how you folks seem ENTITLED to be in this game.

Honestly, I could care less, because beating you guys twice in the same season may finally quiet the incessant grumbling from your fans.

I guess no one would EVER know unless we scheduled yet 'another' game for the best two out of three. Not when the loser has the chance to come back in a one game 'winner take all' after they have already lost, AT HOME!

You folks are just plain delusional.....

In that scenario, if Bama is undefeated, then of course, Bama should go. Just like OSU should go now if they were undefeated. But they aren't. They lost to lowly Iowa State only last weekend.

Actually, methinks not ... at least according to the BCS. When the two best teams are from the same division and conference, I'm not sure it matters under the letter of the BCS "law", the way it's written.

Apparently, the BCS intended for the two best different conference teams to play, go figure.

I don't give a damn who we play January 9th, LSU will bring it.
