This is how I feel most human voters will go.

We played Bama, in Tuscaloosa, beat them.

If there's another team that hasn't played LSU and are in it, meaning the top 5, they'll go with that.

Don't forget the computers have loved the Big 12 teams this season.

Bama is in our conference. Bama lost to us at home. No way LSU has this same opportunity had we lost, and we were the visitors. Screw Bama and their entitled fanbase. Give me another team.

Agreed. I think most of the voters will give that a big +1.

I don't think OSU will win either but I expect a close game.

Either way if OSU loses the voters won't have a consensus alternative pick to bama so bama will get in by default.

We might jus beat their arse good the second time

I'd prefer Bama again but the OSU thing is on the horizon. I'm in the camp that thinks it would need to be a significant spread but even if not, the bigger the spread the more likelyhood (and cover it provides) for voters to vault them past Alabama. That many voters do not want an all SEC CG is reality and not, conjecture. Here's why the OSU window is open:

* 4 of the 6 computers have OSU ranked @ #2 now with Alabama #2 on only 2 of them.

* With Arkansas' loss today, OSU sits @ #3 and only has to climb 1 spot to pass Alabama @ #2.

* The 2 human polls are sufficiently close that very few OSU vote switches, combined with the computer's could very realisticly close the deal for OSU.

* Alabama is expected to win the Iron Bowl and are virtually assured to do it but, it will do little to help their own cause.

Do the math.

That lost revenue that the SEC gets, will scare the other conferences.

what lost revenue you idiot? All the BCS bowls pay the same. 2 SEC teams going to the title game is no more revenue for the SEC than if they were in the Sugar and Orange bowls.

Maybe you're right, I don't know. But based on what I've seen this year, OSU lost a close game in overtime on the road by blowing a big lead in the 4th. OU, especially without Broyles, has looked far worse. I like OSU in that one in a route.

Right you are, BUT WE BEAT THEM. Plus, voters will be sypathetic to OK ST due to the death of the BB coaches I think.

In OT and IMO that kick could have been called good and this conversation is null.

Computers have loved Okie State all season long..if they beat Oklahoma, a ranked team I might add,..versus Bama beating a very low ranked team, if they are ranked at all,...Okie St will pass Bama...it doesn't matter how good Bammers or anybody else thinks they are...the computers will be the downfall of Bama..it doesn't matter to LSU as to who we play...WE JUST WIN ...

no shite...this could easily happen next year, or the year after that...etc...

but if we beat GA, and Okie state beats OU, I think the voters will put okie state in there to avoid the rematch...now if we had one loss and bama had one loss, then I could see them doing it...

I thought it was in. Even on replay it looked like you had to give him the points on that one. But it was close.
