VT hasn't secured a spot in champ game yet. They play Arch Rival UVA tomorrow. Winner goes to ACCCG

Stanford has only ND, I think they will win, but they also won't win their conference and play on Dec 3 like OSU will. Not winning their conference and being idle on Champ weekend may knock them down a notch.
Va Tech is at UVA tomorrow, the winner goes to the ACC CG. UVA is 8-3, VT is favored, but not impossible they lose. If they do win, they play Clemson in the ACC CG, Clemson already beat VT 23-3 at VT. I think there is a good chance they lose 1 of those. We'll see.
ETA: Note my favorite team logo

Ah yeah. Forgot about UVA.
Why wouldn't Stanford win their conference? They're 10-1 and Oregon is only 9-2?

Oregon lost to LSU and USC. Stanford loss to Oregon. One of those loses is not like the other.

both will be 8-1 in conference. Head to head tie breaker sends Oregon to the PAC 12 title game since they are both in the North Division.

Vt or stanford loss certainly helps their human poll score which would help to boost total points for bcs mix of comp/human right?
Wouldnt an ou win tomorrow(computer strength of schedule) help the osu bid for the title game?(of course if osu beats out in 2 wks)
Does it help that osu will have beaten 5 teams that at game time have been ranked top 25

OSU is maxed in comps due to LSU winning out.

no, they play Baylor who OSU has played, so its a wash.

no, overall record of their opponents matters, they can gain a little by Bama opponents, Penn State and Florida losing.

Actually it's Iowa State but your common opponent point is right either way.

OU plays ISU tomorrow
A VT loss this weekend or in the ACC title game would be huge for us
Even if VT wins out it won't really matter IMO
The voters will be voting for Bama or OSU on that final ballot, who they want to see in the NCG
Hopefully they will be smart enough to see VT doesn't really matter in the end
I see both arguments for Bama, and obviously OSU

A) VT and Stanford both lose, making OSU the clear #3.

Moreso than 2007, this will be the year that test whether voters "collude" to put a particular team in.

Ok State just needs to be #3 in the human polls

the difference between collusion and conventional wisdom settled through debate is probably a matter of perspective

Not even that. They can be 4 as lomg as they are pulling some #2 and #3 votes. They just need a good mix of the 2,3&4 splitting votes.

Hella interesting on this subject... a great diversity of opinion on which BCS NCG match-up would be most preferred.

Yeah I took a screencap of that sportsnation poll and sent it to my friend earlier, the chatter is already starting.

MY BREAKDOWN FOR TOMORROW REPOSTED FROM THE RANT:
Figured I would break down what to root for if you don't wanna see a rematch. I have 6 Oklahoma State BCSNCG Ticket Reserves so that should pretty much tell you my stance. We obviously want Oklahoma State to gain a stronghold on all 6 of the computers over Bama and want them to gain as many human votes as possible.
Here is what to root for on Saturday November 26th
in order of importance IMO
1.) Auburn over Alabama - Obviously the most important and easiest way to get Bama out of the title game.
2.) Virginia over Virginia Tech - VT is the biggest threat of taking away human votes from Oklahoma St.
3.) Notre Dame over Stanford - Stanford is also taking some of Oklahoma States votes in the polls but may lose some luster during Championship Week.
4.) Wisconsin over Penn St. - Alabama's biggest win of the season is over Penn State.
5.) FSU over Florida
Wake Forest over Vanderbilt
Kentucky over Tennessee - All three of these games would hurt Alabamas computer score.
8.) Georgia Tech over Georgia
Clemson over South Carolina - While this wouldnt effect the computers, my logic here is that if the SEC has a down week, with a few teams losing to ACC Opponents, it will make the SEC appear weaker to some of the human voters which could help them to use as an excuse to not vote Bama #2
10.) Kansas State over Iowa State - I think Miami losing to BC pretty much rules out this theory, but Kansas State is one of the few schools left that had a very very tiny chance of jumping Alabama in one or two of the computer polls.
