So besides the Nolan Batmans and Iron Man 1, you think the next 4 greatest super hero movies of all time were all from this past summer?
Man tough crowd. Not necessarily.....just trying to rate this last wave of superhero movies, that's all. If you want to start a thread about superhero movies of all time and put Superman I or II in there, go ahead.
I've recently watched them all pretty much, including Captain America a couple nights ago.
I liked Captain America for the Nazi stuff.....thought Green Lantern was the worst of the new bunch.
XMEN: First Class was the most interesting to me with seeing how Prof. X and Magneto really came about.

I finally watched Xmen 1st class and Captain America this holiday weekend and Xmen 1st class blew me away how good it was. The undercurrent of rage and darkness permeated the entire movie through the conclusion. More superhero movies should have this (like TDK). I enjoyed Captain America but the editing sucked which pulled down the movie. Cut out (or replace) 20 minutes of it and it would have been great.
1) Xmen: 1st class
2) TDK
3) KickAss
4) IronMan

quote:Your OP didn't specify "this last wave", it reads as if you mean it to be all time, which is why I don't need to start a thread that includes old classics like Superman because it looks like you already did that. Obviously, others read it the same way because it's on several lists.

I think First Class and Captain America were very solid movies. I just thought it was strange that your top 5 of all time included all Summer '11 releases. If you don't want confusion, convey your thoughts more clearly.

This.
Side note: Im just going to start following you round and quoting your posts to use as mine.
Other side note: But kind of on subject: I bought First Class yesterday and popped it in and watched all but the last 20 minutes. Going to finish it here in a bit, but still, daggum thats thats a good superhero movie. Suprised me a good bit.

I watched all 5 x-men movies the last 3 weekends with my SO. It was the first time I saw the movies. For the record I thought they were all great, although I preferred Bryan Singer's movies to Ratner's Last stand.
My ranking of superhero movies are as follows.
1. Dark Knight
2. X-2
3. Spiderman
4. X-men: First Class
5. Iron-man

After the OP clarified I think he was looking for rankings of the superhero movies of the past year or so. I'm still not %100 sure though ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Iron man 2 was such a garbage movie.

I would put The Fantastic Four Rise Of The Silver Surfer ahead of Capitian AMerica and Thor.
