I'm leaning towards it, but I don't think there's any decent sales on the game this week, so I'd be paying full price. I love WoW and Fallout 3 and Fallout: NV. I'm too lazy to go look through 20 crappy YouTube videos to find 1 good one.
Convince me to buy it.
What's different from Fallout other than the time period?
Can you only play in first person?

I'll just put it this way. For the past 5 years, I haven't played anything but sports or racing games on my xbox. I bought Skyrim due to the popularity on this board. I can say it is easily my favorite game I have ever experienced.

I don't normally like games like this but it's pretty awesome man. you can have action if you want it or just steal shite or just run around and frick shite up with no strings attached. pretty fun

Given the time between games and how popular it is I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

It's the most freedom you can have in a game. You can make your character into many different races each with their own unique skills. You can choose to do quests people give you, just select a certain type of quest (like companions, dark brotherhood, etc), or you can just go around doing whatever the Hell you want. Currently I'm trying to woo a girl in Markarth to marry me

don't worry you can have gay marriages too
but if you want a game with a lot of playing time with lots to do other then the main story this game is it.

I've only played sports and the COD/MWF games and this is by far the most complete game I've ever played. If you give it a chance,(starts a little slow if your not familiar with with these type games) you will enjoy it. I just li e the fact that I e been playing since it was released and the end is nowhere in site!!! It keeps you come'n back brah. I haven't even made it to MW3 online yet, can't seem to get away from it.

Basically, the whole game is top notch from the bottom up...graphics are good, music is great, and the action scenes are quite awesome given the scope of the game.
There's just so much to do that I'm pretty sure it might be impossible to get 100% done.
There are some minor issues here and there, such as frame rate problems and player models, but like I said given the amount of characters that are in the game, the detail is staggering.
I hate dungeons and dragons, WoW and all those type games, but Skyrim is on another level.
