SVP and Brad Edwards confirm ARK irrelevant

Funny because even if we lose to Arkansas I don't think we should even move down from #1 since we beat Bama.

But of course it all depends when you lose,...which is dumb

What if Arky beats LSU, then Bama loses to UGA in the championship?

LSU/Arky for it all, or does Okie State sneak in and play Arkansas? Seems like a long shot

Not according to what I just heard. They say we are in the BCS if we win one of the next two. But I'm with you, we are winning both so its all just booty chatter

I think we would be in the same situation as Bama...win and we're in. The only difference is that we wouldn't be as concerned about OSU sneaking ahead of us even if we do win.

People act like LSU gets screwed by the BCS, but we have been the team helped most over the years.

If Arky wins, there is no way they go to the SECCG. Period.

It would be 3 way tie-breaker and it would go down to head to head between LSU and Alabama, or Arky and Alabama(no way they jump Bama).

I get that, even though I think it's ludicrous that no one wants to even consider dropping Bama to 3rd instead of LSU or keeping Arkansas there.

What I'm not getting is how is the 3rd ranked, 10-1 team being written off for the BCSNC already? I know we're underdogs against LSU, but even when people assume that Arkansas wins, they say we have no shot. It makes no sense. What really irritates me is those who are writing off Arkansas, who lost at Bama, and at the same time pimping Oklahoma State, who lost to unranked Iowa State.

There are only two possible scenarios that put Arkansas in the BCS NC game:

1. Arkansas beats LSU and Alabama loses to Auburn
2. Arkansas destroys LSU to such an extent that they get almost all of the #1 votes in the human polls (not. gonna. happen.)

If Bama loses to UGA and has two losses, and OU beats Ok State, and Va Tech loses one, you may see a Ark/LSU rematch...too much football to be played.

I don't even know if it's possible for anyone other than LSU to play in the SECCG from the west at this point. Unless Arkansas absolutely destroys LSU the BCS rankings would most likely look like this after an LSU loss on Friday:

1. Bama
2. LSU
3. Arky

Which would put LSU in the SECCG due to the head to head win over Bama.
