so you can't have 3 SEC teams in BCS bowls when technically 2 of them are in NC?

you can only have 3 SEC teams in if the 2 teams in the NC are not the conference champion

Negative.

Bama in the Sugar.

I simply can't see how the voters would want a rematch of, not only two teams from the SEC, but two teams from the same side of it.

And when the game between the two was a 9-6 Win for LSU.

I can't see a rematch happening.

If three teams were to go to BCS bowls, UGA would have to beat LSU in the SEC champ. game, and LSU-Bama would play in the national champ. game. UGA would go to the Sugar bowl.

so this could only happen if we lose to UGA and get lucky and get in. which is very possible.

FWIW the order of selection is

BCS NC game
Sugar/other BCS games (if you dont know how the BCS selection works go check out any other thread in the last month)
Cap 1
Cotton/Outback (Cotton has first pick of a west team and outback has first pick of the east. These bowls can take a team from the other division but has to pick after the other bowl.)
Chic-fil-a
Gator
Music city
Liberty

i wondered this..you sure that automatic SEC Champ tie in to the Sugar is still valid?..I thought it was stern that you could only have two teams because of financial gain violates anit-trust laws....i could easily be wrong...

I will grant you, it is possible but be realistic.

After our schedule, after what the players have done all season..... the last team we'd lose to would be Georgia.

Hell they struggled this past weekend with KENTUCKY. In Athens!

I just assumed that only 2 teams per conference can go with the exception as you said of UGA beating LSU and then LSU and Bama being locked in by BCS to play in title game. Arkansas cannot get an at-large to the Sugar. If they lose Friday, they're the team that's screwed, much like LSU in 2005, despite different circumstances. It is very confusing, but if UGA wins the SEC, the BCS cannot throw out either LSU or Bama as the effect of that cause. Arkansas, to make Sugar, would have to beat LSU, Bama lose, and then beat UGA in SEC...and that's slim as if all that happens, Arkansas would be in BCS title. In other words, Arkansas has almost a zero chance of going to the Sugar bowl. They'll be content with Cotton. They love going to Dallas. It's like you and I getting to go to Italy.

yes way. Wake Forest is a good team. They are Jeckyl and Hydish, but Vandy should be the dog in that game. The game is in Winston-Salem, no?

As far as Tenn...NC can be substituted for NC State.

Moscona said on his show today that if this scenario happened, thats what the bowl picture would likely look like. Apparently the BCS has a rule about it. News to me as well.

If LSU wins Friday but loses to Georgia then Georgia goes to Sugar. They can't be locked out simply because Bama and LSU get locked into playing each other in the title game. That's correct, no? It would be stupid if:

a) Georgia is sent to Capital One bowl because they're still 3rd or 4th in BCS standings of SEC teams.

b) Georgia gets auto to Sugar and rule of no more than 2 teams from same conference get into BCS. Thus, it would be shitty to tell LSU/Bama, "You have to vacate your #2 spot and let #3 Oklahoma State move up. Have fun in the Cap One bowl."

In this case, if UGA wins SEC c'ship game and LSU drops to 2 behind Bama who is 1, are all three allowed to play in BCS?

And there is zero chance, actually -- not almost zero -- of Arkansas playing in Sugar Bowl.

Bama/LSU in BCS tile game...bank it! If LSU is the best, prove it! Dont be skerred! Ali/Frazier baby. Dont try and dodge it. Why would you want to play some weak sister, this is the SEC west, the best in the nation. If LSU is the champ, man up and prove it and quit trying to talk your way into playing some asshat. And before you say "we already played bama and beat them at home" waaaaaa waaaaaa, me and the rest of the nation knows that if the gumps had a kicker your arse would have lost and you know it too, which is why you dont want to play them again. As I said before....Man the F up!!!

Dumb arse, you don't think the game would have been called different by Lsu if those not even close to gimmees had actually made it through the uprights. Even so, Saban the god that he supposedly is should have cared more about special teams. It's 1/3 of the game and he completely overlooked the idea of special teams. Special teams wins games and not everyone can be lucky like urban Meyer that one year. Poor coaching and recruiting choices that were made by Saban that helped hIs team lose. Blame it all on the kicker if you want, it's no different than blaming your quarterback for a loss, but I doubt that would matter in gumpland. Don't be sad if an inferior team jumps you for the ship, but I will honestly admit that you guys are the best compared to the rest of the potential challengers.
