Working on a new frosting, and it just got me wondering what everyone likes.

I have always bee a fool for german chocolate cakes, but in truth a simple butter cream frosting is more than enough. Anything else(a la crisco based/powdered sugar) blows big time.

sorry I was being serious. I thought about it and I can't think of any combos I don't like. Carrot cake and cream cheese, lemon, strawberry, chocolate, spice cake, german chocolate. I will pretty much eat and enjoy any type of cake. That can't possibly be a good thing.

German chocolate cake + homemade pecan coconut frosting . So much better than the terrible canned frosting.

Hummingbird Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting is a fav.

If we're going basic though it's chocolate with chocolate.

It may be more nostalgia than any thing else, but my aunt used to make a plain yellow cake with a frosting made out of peanut butter. It was the absolute bomb.

Cream cheese and red velvet is one of my more common favorites.

My mom used to make jello poke cake. I forgot about this glorious childhood food.
