For creating the false impression that SEC defenses are so good.

quote:

Comment From Chris Chris : Oregon is still overrated. they have already proven that they can't contend against great defense

Ted Miller: Chris... 19 plays, 79 yards vs. LSU... Oregon proved that if it turns the ball over four times against LSU, folks are going to make sweeping statements about SEC defenses.

What a toolbag.

I love people that act like turnovers are just acts of God. Some are self-inflicted, and a ton are not.

Tell Oregon to ask themselves if they win vs Stanford without all those turnovers they got?

19 plays for 79 yards? WTF? Oregon had much more than 19 plays. And it's not like 19 for 79 is all that great.

So did the Stanford game prove that unless Oregon is +3 in turnover margin, it can't beat a decent team?

19 play drive in the 2nd quarter. That's when they took the lead(for about 5 minutes).

Because as we all know, if you're a good defense, you never give up a long drive. Ever.

Oh, wow. They had one good drive? That's cherry picking of the highest order.

And they only took that lead because of a terrible personal foul call on Loston.

they had a really good drive down 40-20 late in the 4th too. we made them milk the entire clock though as we were playing a prevent defense

Homers gonna home, I guess.

I'm fine with Oregon or Pac12 fans arguing that they are as deserving for a rematch as Bama, but the lack of respect for LSU after all the shite it has accomplished this year is mind bottling.

you know what good teams do? they hold on to the ball.

i am sorry that oregon isn't a good enough team to hold onto the ball.

why doesn't oklahoma state get killed? they lead the nation in takeaways. but well they win because of their offense. somehow the turnover argument doesn't apply to them.

Come on now...Oregon FORCED those turnovers against Stanford. LSU only benefited from Oregon making self-inflicted mistakes...LSU didn't FORCE anything.

Or so we are lead to believe in the Oregon spin of the game.

Guys Oregon has really improved. They improved so fast right after our game! LOL The Pac 12 has been really weak. Did anyone else not think that Oregon was going to run the table again "beat an overrated Standford" and that's why it was so important for LSU to just beat them "not dismantle them like we did" to take them out of the discussion this year. Oregon had 95 yds. rushing "like Al." and we held LMJ to 54 yds. while letting them score only 27 points with the last touchdown in late few minutes garbage time. Oregon scored 69,56,56,43,41,45,43,34,53 in their games after ours. Their rushing yds after their big 95 against us were 272,416,415,365,327,371,213,212,232 against Standford. They haven't improved that much "and we've improved too"; they just got to play their easy conference/schedule. They DO NOT DESERVE ANOTHER SHOT.
