Why does Kenner get no love on the food board?

Ristorante da Piero in Rivertown - Probably better than any Italian in New Orleans and I've even seen some of the most ardent NOLA knights agree with this statement.

Little Chinatown - Best Chinese restaurant in the metro area. Not even close really.

Las Carnitas to my knowledge is the only place you can get any Peruvian food in the area

I've been meaning to try Mi Pueblito

Fiesta Latina is a pretty good Latin place not far from the airport. Good Honduran style breakfast there if they're still serving that. It's been a while since I've been. I've heard the place has changed some.

Youngs, Kenner Seafood, THE HARBOR, Smittys.

You missed out Kenner's biggest strength, the triangle of seafood, Harbor, Kenner Seafood, and Smitty's. These are, IMO, the essence of what New Orleans seafood restaurants used to be. Franky and Johnny's, Casamento's, and even Bozo's and Sid Mar's sold out to high prices for a richer clientele. Kenner's Three are still where the working class eats and the seafood and experience are great because of it.

We at at Kenner Seafood all the time for lunch

I went to Harbor Seafood once on the weekend and they were slammed and no one ever came to greet me so I left. I'll give it another chance.

I didn't list Kenner Seafood because I just blindly assumed there would be a plethora of better options in the area. Is that not the case? Honestly I'd compare it to the similar places in Houma.

I dont care for the way they cut duck at chinatown. Too many little pieces.

I have not eaten at the River House, which is where the old Le Parvenue was, nor have I eaten at Little Chinatown. The Kenner Tastee's is the best donut shop in the Metro area, IMO. Kenner has the best seafood and the best Latin food in the Metro area as well.

Here's some helpful knowledge:

When you pass between Bonnabel High on your left and beneath the Power Blvd bridge, you have entered Metairie from Kenner. When you go over the 17th St. Canal, which is now not visible from I-10, but is about a mile past the Bonnabel Blvd entrance, you have entered New Orleans.

Thanks TulaneLSU, but if-in you don't mind, I liked my way better. Less is best sometimes.
