going for it on 4th down on your own 29 in overtime is stupid, not gutsy, as some are saying.
a good example of a gutsy call was the onside kick in the SB against the Colts. still plenty of time to play the game if is fails.
Smith panicked and made one of the dumbest calls of his coaching career.

wtf is an offside kick?
ftr, i texted my falcon friend and told him they should go for it when they sent the punter out. i wasn't thinking it was gutsy, i was thinking our defense hadn't done dick on 3rd or 4th and short all day so why would mike smith think they would now? fortunately they stepped up and proved me wrong.

I liked the decision but hated the play call. Sneak it if it is just a few inches.

Weren't you the guy that posted doubts, claiming that Sandusky may be innocent and we have no right to judge him until he's found guilty?

In Smith defense he had our number on fourth down and got it when he wanted it. Just not on the last play.

that onside kick in the Super Bowl was pretty stupid too. I would rather have a coach who has the balls to go for it on occasions than someone who is too scared to even try. Payton has earned the right to do so IMO.

exactly.....Brees owns space in Smiths head. thank God for idiots!

That was strange, they had success running the ball most of the game but they totally abandoned the run game in overtime until their fourth and inches failure

One of many stupid decisions made by Mike Smith in that game. Definitely not one of his finer days.
