Nicholls Baseball Signs 10

Today the Colonels locked up 10 early signees which to my knowledge has not been done in some time. I was wondering if anyone has any input on the class and maybe even certain players from around the state?

Don't know much about individual players, but looks like they got some kids from good programs.

I'm actually pissed. I outplayed one of these guys for the past three years and I didn't get any looks from Nicholls.

The head coach has said in the past that he's putting an emphasis on getting HS guys there and trying to build a program. Looks like that's what he's doing. They used to be mostly JUCO transfers, which is good to supplement, but not a way to build a program.

Count me in. One of those boys is from my hometown.
Hopefully, if Nicholls takes a 6 run lead on LSU again this year they can hold on.

Yea Seth is doing some great things over here. To have this many kids sign early is very out of the ordinary for us. Last year we were 8th in the conference and went on to win our first two in the tournament. Texas St. was just to good and came back to beat us twice. For awhile we were thinking regional. That would have been a big deal for us.
Our team will be very good this year.

that kid from Crowley pitching did a great job while he was there.

I'm in, Seth Stevens is my nephew. So I'm biased, but he's a GREAT kid and one heck of a ball player! He played on one of the Marucci elite teams his past summer. Love that kid, good luck Seth and Nicholl's!!!!

Jace is going to be a good one at Nicholls. He's more like 6'4 180 though, he has a thin frame that he'll be able to add weight and get much stronger. He can bring the heat and punches out a ton of batters. I didn't get to make any games that he pitched last season, but as a soph we sat behind the gun a few times and he was in the upper 80's. I imagine he's throwing even harder now, plus he's a lefty. We have another Junior lefty named Stephen Potter too that throws just as hard if not harder and was actually All-District pitcher over Cheramie & 1st team All-Region.
