If OU beats Okie St, wouldnt they jump Bama?

If Stanford lost OU would move to 4 or 5. A win over the #2 team in the country surely would bump them up in the computers?
Plus I think the ppl would vote them in to avoid an SEC BCSNC game and rematch.
What do you guys think?

Doubt it. Losing to TT is much worse than losing to LSU. There's also too much of a BCS gap, IMHO.

they'd still have a big 12 championship game to play while Bama was idle

There is no big 12 championship this year bilj

There is no longer a Big 12 championship game.
I also would think that they have a good jump at jumping Bama in the polls to avoid the rematch.

I agree the loss to TT is worse but a win over #2 and being the Big 12 champion is more than anything Bama has on their resume.

If Stanford and OSU lose (to OU), the voters will put OU into the game over Bama. I don't know whether they'd deserve it or not, but that's what would happen. Only Bama fans and their media enablers want to see that game replayed. No one outside of the SEC enjoys a good defensive struggle. I almost think Boise St. would get the nod over Bama.

But the week of bedlam is the same weekend as LSU vs Georgia. So you got it half way right.

did you post something about how OU wouldn't be able to run the ball vs an SEC team? maybe not here, but on another board?

As has been pointed out, there is no Big 12 CG because there ain't 12 teams. But Bedlam is going to be played the weekend of the conf CGs while Bama sits. If the choice is a Bama rematch or OK, then they will jump Bama.

I'd think so. OU-OSU is Dec. 3rd. Bama would (presumably) be at home when that game is played. Bama may be the 2nd best team in the country, but fans (outside of Alabama) and media don't want a rematch BCS championship game. See 2006. They will take a conference champ over a team that didn't even win their division. This is a big reason why LSU went in 2007 over UGA. Arguably UGA was hotter and playing better that LSU, and LSU had just lost to an unranked ARK team. BUT LSU was a conf. champ. UGA wasn't.

NOO TT is unranked and the tides only loss is to us the only 1 loss team that would come close would be Oregon seeing their only loss is to us too

OK would need to beat up on OK State pretty good to bump 'Bama. W/O Broyles I don't see that happening - but you never know. IF the Big 12 had a championship game it would help OU tremendously but they don't..... Let's just wait and see. Lots of football left to be played.

what if oregon wins out?
Boise St. would go bananas! I think this is their dream scenario. Because I just don't think people want to see a rematch. Oregon winning would be the best bet for Bama though because given the choice, the voters would probably rather see Bama/LSU again over LSU/Ore.

Factor in their wins against ole miss and ark being deminished by additional losses to LSU and maybe so.

Very logical conclusion.
This is exactly what will happen.
Only Bama fans and idiots want a rematch.

who is the highest ranked team Bama beat? and what were they ranked when they won?
OKie beats #2 is a bigger accomplishment than gumps losing to #1 Don't you think?
