The SEC does not care about basketball outside of UK fans
You'll find out soon enough when talk turns to football recruiting and coaching changes

SEC sucks at basketball, except for Kentucky, because we don't care. SEC is good at baseball, but really, we don't care. Who the crap knows about lesser sports and such, we don't care. SEC IS ALL ABOUT FOOTBALL. That is why we are the best at it. That is what produces fans and money for all the other sports we don't care about. Good luck with your basketball season though. You can have the slack.

2011 NCAA Tournament

SE 2-Florida
East 4-Kentucky
SW 5-Vanderbilt
West 9-Tennessee
East 10-Georgia

That isn't the definition of "SEC sucks at basketball".

The SEC East has three teams ranked in the top 10 in the pre-season polls. Not bad for a football conference.

No one outside of UK cares about CBB.

No one outside of LSU and South Carolina care about college baseball.

You don't know anything about baseball do ya? Check the average attendance for sec baseball teams, and then say the sec doesn't care.
Don't speak if you don't know what the frick you're saying!

College baseball isn't popular. Not even in the SEC. No matter how hard some LSU fans may try to convince themselves and others.

eta: Let me rephrase. It IS popular, but I wouldn't say anyone outside of LSU and USCe cares too much about it besides getting outside on a nice spring day.

LSU cares about it more then anyone in the nation probably. I think other SEC teams care about it when they have good teams. UK only cares about Basketball because it's the only sport they can actually win.

I love how "I don't care" turns into "nobody cares."

Is that why we averaged 102% attendance by capacity in football the last few years? Maybe that's also the reason we won the SEC baseball tourney in 2006?

It's a real shame what LSU has let happen to their basketball program. Y'all used to be great.

I agree. They need to fire this coach and get someone who can actually recruit.

I went to the 1991 baseball regional at LSU and sat in some crappy bleachers down the left field line.

I went again to the Super Regional in 2004 and sat here.

Hopefully I'll finally get good seats when I visit the new Alex Box!

LOL, yea there aren't any beams in the new Box. The support beams for the roof are on top of it. So great seats everywhere in the stadium.

As far as Baseball goes, LSU, USCe, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, & UGA all care very much about the sport. Although LSU and Arkansas are the only ones that turn a profit on with it.

As far as basketball, Florida, UGA, Alabama, Miss St, USCe, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, & Tennessee all care greatly about this sport. Once Trent has his turn around season this year, you will start to see the recruits coming in. He has been waitng for this season the last couple years.

Don't know why he didn't have all the recruits after his first year when he did really well with a Brady team.
