BC you're confident in a W or because you dont invest as much emotion in LSU?

I was confident but still nervous as hell. It was goddamn Peyton Manning who could have went undefeated going into the Super Bowl had they kept him in the last two games while the saints had lost their last 3 reg season games.

Not at all..we still need to play 3 more games potentially four. While it's a big hype game it not like we will win the BCS trophy right there on the spot.

Much more nervous for the SB than this game. Make no mistake, I'm hyped for this big time. Thing is, I've had a chance to watch the Tigers play for 2 NCs recently, so perhaps that's tempered things a bit. Growing up with the Saints since they started, I'd become convinced that I'd never live to see them IN a SB, much less winning one. Also, I was able to fly back home for SB 44 and get in the middle of all the madness.
That said, nothing will beat the final moments of the NFC Championship. I really thought that was going to be Fred Sanford time.

If Saints Superbowl was a 10, this is around a 3.5
Even worse was DURING the superbowl. It literally felt like an immediate family member was having life saving surgery.

I'm way more nervous about this game than I was about the Saints game.
The Super Bowl was just a great experience. Just the fact that the Saints were there was amazing. I really wasn't nervous before the game, because I thought we were going to lose. During the game, once we got down 10-0, I thought we were going to win (which makes no sense), so I just had fun watching the comeback.
I don't know how to explain it.
But I am way more nervous for this game. Way more. I go to all the LSU games. I just feel more a part of this LSU team than I did with that Saints team. I want to win so badly, and I'll feel crushed if we lose.
If the Saints would have lost, I would have gotten over it pretty quickly.

No I wasn't. It was a neutral site, and much like LSU in this one, Saints were a slightly better team. This is different in some respects.... it's a road game, and the teams are a bit more evenly matched than I think the Colts and Saints were, imo. I felt the Saints had all the intangible things going their way, and I knew the top NFL officiating crew would be on the ball.
I'm nervous that something crazy, or unfortunate, might derail my Tigers from getting over this hurdle to immortality.
That's a shitty feeling.
If this was a neutral site game, I'd bet anyone, almost anything, that LSU wins straight up.

Exactly.

I'm admitingly a mild Saints fan. I watch every game and care but I just don't get as up and down for em as I do LSU and college football. I just like watching the games.
This game is the most nervous/excited/scared I think I've ever been over a sporting event in my entire life. I cannot stop thinking about it. This game means a lot to me.

I've never prayed for us to win. I feel thats just sorta wrong and meaningless. I've prayed every night for the past two weeks we win this one. I just cannot imagine losing this game, I dont want to think about that fact. I feel like I'm on the damn team.

Honestly, I wasn't nervous at all for the SB until after the kickoff then it was like oh shite, this is the fricking Super Bowl! The whole 2 weeks leading up to it, I thought I would just be happy that they were in the big show...but once that ball got kicked off and all those flashbulbs went out, I started to get nervous.
Maybe the same may happen this game, but right now, I am not the least bit nervous. I am extremely confident that our damn strong football team can take care of business in BDS

Definitely was more nervous for the Superbowl. Saints had never won a championship before. LSU has won 2 in my lifetime.

Much more nervous for the Saints. It's THE SUPERBOWL.
"Super Bowl XLIV destroyed previous Super Bowl viewing records with 106.48 million average viewers and even overtook the series finale of M*A*S*H (105.97 million) as the most-watched program of all-time."

No way you can compare this to the superbowl. Maybe for bama fans since they aren't successful enough to have an nfl team.

Superbowl and it's not even close. As a diehard Tiger and Saints fan, I can easily say that. I think it has alot to do with what we've won before. LSU has 2 national championships in the last decade. Don't get me wrong, I hate Bama as much as anyone and it would devastate me if we didn't win, but I'm very confident that we will.
I was confident before the Super Bowl but jacked through the fricking roof. After 40 years of mostly being "the 'Aints" we had finally made it to the big game. That was one of the craziest days of my life and I doubt any sports happening will ever top it.
