You WVU people had better hope the SEC is willing to take you in as #15 or #16 when the Big 12 eventually implodes.

i love how the tamu fans that have just got this board have an elitist attitude already with out playing a game in the SEC

How is what he said elitist? Did you feel the Big 12 was stable a month ago? Two months? If so, what has changed?
It's a ticking time bomb. Whether that means it will dissolve or just go through some major major changes...who knows. But one or the other is bound to happen in the next 5 years.

Honestly... looking at the schools dropped/added, this might make the Big East better, at least in terms of football team quality.
You lose: WVU, Pitt, Syracuse.
You gain: Boise, Houston, UCF, SMU, Army, Navy, Air Force.
Boise is the best program in the conference before or after realignment. As a conference, I would rather have Houston and UCF than Pitt. Syracuse is a bad football program and only is in play for major conferences because of its location and market presence.
In terms of quality of play, the Big East would upgrade with this move, I think.

I agree with this completely. Houston and UCF have the upside to surpass Pitt and Syracuse in football simply because of the recruiting they have in their backyards. Pitt and Syracuse are huge losses on the basketball end, but their losses (and replacements) in football don't make the conference much worse than when it was an eight-team snoozefest.

If the Big 12 truly goes to equal revenue sharing like it looks like they are then it won't implode at all. If anything it might come out stronger in the long run.

"Boise State did not accept an invite to the Big East. Just gave BSU President authority to accept."

horseshite.
Tech I could see, but not until after they got rebuffed by about 75% of the Sun Belt.
New Mexico State, though? N-word, please.

There are 10 spots in the BCS. There is room for the Big East winner. If the pollsters (2/3 of the rankings) decide the BE winner is worthy of national title consideration then so be it. I don't see that happening most years but o.k. if they play in the Orange bowl every year.
