The key to defeating Bama is stopping the run (including but not limited to Trent Richardson). If Bama can move the ball on the ground with any consistency, they will win. If we can stop the run and force Bama to throw the ball, McCarron is a first year QB (who has not faced serious pressure because of the defense's fear of their strong run game) who will make mistakes--especially when his receivers go up against LSU's defensive backs, the strongest part of our entire defense. Bama's pass offense against our pass defense is the best matchup we could hope for.

Totally agree. My only concern in the passing game is their TE.

+1000. LSU has to stop/contain Alabama's power running game. No chance to win if we can not do this.

The key is to control both lines of scrimmage.

Dump offs to TR out of the backfield moreso for me.

He hides in the pocket and releases after a few seconds.

Someone needs to tie up TR when he stays in long enough for the rest of our guys to hit AJ.

Someone needs to take out Trent before Saturday. That- IMHO- is the key to the game.

I know it's easier said than done, but I think it's the most important thing.

agreed. TR and their power running game is my main concern. Hope the team has been practicing tackling for this game. Takes 2 guys to bring him down. I also agree that he is a threat to catch the ball over the middle. This game will test our linebackers unlike any other.

Bamas d is more susceptible to the pass then the run. I think lee/randle/obj/Shepard will have a big day

Also look for ware to catch passes
