The place in Lafayette gets bad reviews here but I like it and it stays packed so they're doing something right.

Don't really care about atmosphere that much, but I do enjoy cold draft beer from local microbreweries, which Burgersmith has. I've only been for lunch thus far and love their burgers.

I tried Fat Cow three times before I gave up on them. Everytime my burger was cooked way past well done and was very dry.

The "apple wood smoked bacon" at burgersmith is just like the precooked microwavable bacon. And the fries were alright but not much better than fat cows. Plus the atmosphere in there blows. I'm taking fat cow anyday over burgersmith

I just love how everyone seems to talk about everything else with fat cow besides the actual burger (which is awful) sure they have great toppings and the bun is good. The fries are ok, the duck fat fries are the biggest ripoff they taste no different than the regular fries and their shakes are very weak. Did I mention they are more pricey than any other burger joint? Burger Smith is head and shoulders over fat cow imo. I am not going to favor a place because their bacon is better. I typically will side with the better patty and that is without question Burger Smith.

why is everyone comparing this place to fat cow and not five guys ?

Rag, Burgersmith beats up on 5 guys like a porn star. The bun is fresh, fries are great, and the patty is seared and juicy on the inside.

Tots are hit or miss (sweet potato bites) due to the kitchen one day making them sweet, and the next is melt your face off hot bc of WAY too much seasoning on them.\

Bar is nice and chill, and the outside is REALLY misleading. I thought it was the size of a subway, but the bar and additional dining wraps around the back and side of ATT store, going unnoticed unless you walk around.

It's my brick and morter version of curbside. When nick's not slinging his goodness during off hours or too far to drive to see him, I go to burgersmith.

The burger actually reminded me of Curbside's, which is about the highest compliment I could pay it.

I hope that people don't start overrating Burgersmith because it is a solid burger at decent prices. I really like the place.

I thought that 5 Guys and Fat Cow had way too much hoopla for what they are.

I'm sold if that's the case. I'll try to get by there today.

How is Burgersmith?

Went for lunch yesterday. The service is pretty slow. But the food is really good. The "smith burger" is seasoned really well and is very tasty. The "smith fries" have quite a bite to them, i noticed quite a few red pepper flakes in the basket. The place is probably 3 times as big as i imagined it would be looking from the outside. It has a sort of "sports bar" feel with all of the tv's. They seem to have an pretty good beer selection on tap.

They have a "filet burger and a " shrimp burger" that i will defeinitely go back and try.

The fries come in 3 flavors
Smith fries
Garlic and Butter
and "regular"

Smith burger
Smith fries
Drink

$10.80 before tip.

While I prefer the atmosphere at Fat Cow, the burger at Burgersmith is way better.

Five Guys is a step below both as far as offerings and service, but I prefer Five Guys burger over Fat Cow as well.
