Catholic High grad from around 2006 (not sure which year it was exactly). Went to school with him for a couple of years.
Not sure that he was highly recruited out of HS, but he was a solid RB at Catholic and has really done well for himself at Stanford.

I played with him. Patch (nickname) was good, but theres a reason he isn't their starter as a fifth year senior. Smart kid, good ball player, great pickup for Stanford.
LSU didn't offer though, and they didn't miss out.

He was only a 2-star prospect coming out of Catholic I believe, so that would make it a little more obvious why Les was recruiting elsewhere
