If guys like Nick Fairley can jump in and play well, why wouldn't they be any good one year prior?
Nick Fairley is playing well?

But to say painter would throw for 500 yards is a little over the top bc I think Blackmon Floyd and luck would do more than garçon Wayne and painter IF they both had time to throw
You're really saying Blackmon is on the same plane RIGHT NOW as Reggie fricking Wayne?

Is he not? My bad. I thought he was doing well, but I'll admit I haven't paid a ton of attention.

An All-American team would no doubt be able to compete against a bad NFL team.

Well I think Reggie fricking Wayne is past his prime and I think right now it would be close to a push.

Yeah, that's silly. If we are talking WRs, the Colts may not be the best teN to pick. That said, who the hell are Miami's WRs?

Couple of reasons. A) The teams philosophy is already entrenched in stone with veterans ready to step in and help out the rookie. B) NFL Defensive terminology is light years harder than most college programs out there (Saban is probably the closest in terms of what he asks his players to do, but still pretty far from the NFL).

I think Blackmon Floyd and luck would do more than garçon Wayne and painter IF they both had time to throw, but I guess the consensus is they wouldn't.

hat said, who the hell are Miami's WRs?

I dont think they would win a division.
I do think they could win some games, as they would have a great qb in Luck, great skill players and still be damn good in the trenches. This is of course assuming that these players would still be the same players they were in their all-american season but with more endurance and durability for the NFL length season.
Seriously, why couldnt they compete? I dont think its unrealistic that after some some weeks of playing NFL teams, the All-american team would start to get up to speed.
what makes you think luck will be good in the nfl? heck, look at many of th epast heisman winners and their careers in the nfl. pretty disappointing. being good or even great in college doesnt guarantee success in the nfl
any nfl team would beat any collection of college players pretty handily.

I'm no draft expert, but the people that get paid for their opinion on this subject all agree that he is the closest thing to a can't miss prospect. Jamarcus was number 1 but everyone said he had huge upside, but I didn't hear one person call him a cant miss prospect.

They could maybe beat the worst 1 or 2 teams.

“Jamarcus Russell’s gonna immediately energize that Raider Nation, that fanbase, that football team- on the practice field, in that locker room- three years from now you could be looking at a guy that’s certainly one of the elite top five quarterbacks in this league. You’re talking about a 2-3 year period once he’s under center. Look out because skill level that he has is certainly John Elway like.”
That was Mel Kiper.

You are probably right. I just don't see how they could compete on the lines, especially the OL. Good RBs and WRs can't do much without an OL.

No way. No success at all. Well, unless the team was all from Alabama, at least that's what I've been told
Posted on 10/28/11 at 11:34 pm to Jcorye1
That doesn't really spell can't miss. You never heard about the Jamarcus sweepstakes like you've heard about luck for the last 2 years.

Wanna hear a good one?
I had a guy on here tell me this years draft class of all rookies could form a team and beat the Colts 7 out of 10 times at LEAST.

Its the art of hyperbole. This guy could be the greatest ever and that guy could be the greatest ever. I think it says a lot that some of the smarter minds in football are starting to just mass accumulate picks because of the volatile nature of draft picks succeeding in the NFL.

so was reggie bush.
