When, or where do they release the names...

Of the officiating crew on college football games?
Obviously the crew working the game on the 5th (replay booth included) is a huge deal.
Anyone have any idea?

Ask Steve Shaw, a bama alum, who is head of the SEC officials

Be sure and get everyone on the board to try and write stupid letters to the SEC and NCAA when you find out. We need more help making our fans look dumb.

If we get jobbed by the officials, they will be crucified by ESPN.

as long as we don't get the clowns from the auburn/florida.

I seriously doubt they release this info before the game. Imagine the bookies who would try to get the refs into their back pockets if they knew who was officiating ahead of time. That goes for any game.

LOL. Dude, the SEC knows this already as well as Vegas.
Some of you really do live in a fantasy world where corruption doesn't exist. You crack me up.

Can someone please page the "Aw geez, not this shite again" guy? His presence is badly needed here.

I can understand why LSU fans would be concerned. They should be.
My gut tells me this one won't have any purposeful shennanigans. I don't think the SEC wants another 2006 or 2009 on their hands. Then again, they are pretty shameless.

Honestly, Alabama grad or not, I'd love to have him head this game. If anything he'd defer to LSU.

As much as I hate SEC refs, I actually agree with this. I wish Shaw was on the field for this one. I really do.
I met Shaw on the sidelines prior to a game in 2006, I believe. May have been 2005. Anyway, great guy. Talked with him for a good 5 minutes prior to the game and also took a picture with him.
When I asked him if I could take the pic, he laughed and said "You realize I went to Bama, right"? Of course, I knew this already.

They make crack whores look like the moral, upstanding citizens of a community

Did you ever see the Andy Griffith episode when he umpired the big game between Mt Pilot and Opie's Mayberry team? That'd be Shaw.
