did the campus seem relatively dead for such a big game (top 25 matchup against our most hated rival)?

it was a 230 game and i got into BR around 1030 and hit 0 traffic coming in. got a nice parking spot

when we made it to the parade grounds, it seems really subdued and quiet

hell, even the stadium wasn't loud at all until we started beating the hell out of them (which is funny in itself)

Shouldn't this be on the rant?

tailgating just hasn't been the same over the last 5 years or so.

I haven't been tailgating in a couple years and am not really motivated to drive there and deal with traffic when I could just stay home, grill, drink beer then watch the game in air conditioned comfort on a 65" HD tv.

Campus didn't liven up until around 6 PM.

It is just not the same for day games.

I felt more buzz walking around campus before the Florida game than yesterday's game. It didn't quite have that huge game feel, but it was still pretty good. I walked through the motorhome lots, down Nicholson to the PMAC.

Back when I out partying, I wouldn't tailgate for the 2:30 games. I'd be so smashed from the night before it'd take until 12 just to be able to get up. Then I'd make it out around 1:30 and just go to the game.

I'd only hardcore tailgate if there were a night game. TRUF

I had to sell my student ticket for face, which would have never happened past years.

I said the exact same thing.

And what the hell with the boots with dresses and skirts? Girls, you looked terrible.

sure it's been noted but it was also election day and hunting season started. combined with tailgating being down all season long anyways, it's not hard to believe it was less than previous years.

segue: you weren't a fan of tailgating or the game day atmosphere before. did you enjoy it more?
