Now That Oklahoma lost, I think in the Human Polls, with the win LSU had over Auburn and the way they won will take most of the first place votes away from Alabama and Oklahoma St.

My prediction is that we actually gain more percentage points, even if the computers drop us a little.

PS. Computers love Oklahoma St. They could even be ranked #1 in the BCS poll if they gain enough in the Harris and Coaches poll.

Did you really just say that if Oklahoma State gets good votes in the human polls they could be ranked #1? Obviously. So could anyone if you got a lot of first place votes... thats how it works.

They don't need 1st place votes. They just need 2nd place votes or even 3rd place votes (or even 4th). Remember they were ranked 6th in both the coaches poll and the Haris poll. Of course their score will go up since Oklahoma is out. Alabama and LSU was already ranked ahead of Oklahoma, Oklahoma St was ranked behind them. Naturally, Oklahoma St will gain more points in the Harris and Coaches poll than Alabama and LSU will gain from Oklahoma losing. I was just saying that Oklahoma St, has the best chance of jumping both Alabama and LSU. Since people think that it will actually stay LSU/ALABAMA as 1/2.

LSU will actually have a greater lead in the polls I think. We are going to have a controlling amount of Coaches Poll votes and Harris votes which will put us first in 2/3 of the formula. The computers will likely have us at 2nd but our position overall in computers is stronger with the Wisconsin and Okla losses.

I agree that I want them to jump us. I want our players to feel like Bama took something from them, and they want it back.
Good God. Who cares about these rankings.

Would you rather be ranked #1 playing #2 or be #2 playing #1? I'd rather us be #2.

They want to hype this game up as much as possible. Creating "controversies" is one way.

You do realize the game is 2 weeks away...how are they "creating controversy" by commenting on a secret computer formula that they have no way of changing.

yes, but I think they later stated in the Coaches poll...I think
I see no reason for LSU to change in the BCS rankings..but I would love it if they fall to 2.

It's just another Les Miles mind frick. Saban will have a personal conniption tonight if Bama jumps us. Then he will spend half of Monday's practice bitching to his players that they are really like #10 so they don't get the big head.

Umm, no. LSU destroyed a ranked team today. Bama destroyed a shitty team at home. How could you make a argument with them at #1? LSU doesn't move.

If this happens then I'll say its a ploy to make Bama stay high up in the BCS rankings just in case they lose to us. Then they can get another shot at us in the NC game.

Makes no difference, thing will be settled on 11/5. no doubt who is number one when we kick their arse. If the team that showed up against Auburn plays Bama. Bama looses plain and simple

its a brad edwards projection.
He projected us to be 3rd last week before changing his tune mid-day on Sunday. He can't possibly know who gets the first place votes left on the table by Oklahoma. It's a guess, that is all.

#1 or #2...it does not matter. The winner is #1 after Nov. 5th and the loser will only drop a few spots...remaining in the top 10 (unless 1 team is blown out).
