I love pickled stuff. Except pickled pig feet, unlike my dad. Bannana peppers, quail eggs, and okra are up way there. And pickles and green olives. But a damn pickled asparagus is about as good as it gets in the pickled world. IMHO.

Green beans, asparagus, carrots and onions and cucumbers.

I drank gin bloody marys during much of the game and I think I may have had a jar of the green beans and olives. Would have loved some onions, too.

I agree with you on the asparagus. When done well, it's delicious.

Mushrooms are hard to beat. Apparently the ole lady bought this jar of pickled asparagus for her bloody mary's. According to the jar they are made by Robert Collins gourmet. She'll be pissed when she sees I've ate the vast majority of em.

Old Robert can do great things with vinegar and asparagus.

Those little mini green tomatoes are delicious, too. I load them in my bloody marys also, but I have trouble finding them sometimes.

No thanks on the pig lips. Not my thing. Reminds me of a bad blind date.
