The fact that you can't see anything wrong with what Harbaugh did is pretty telling. If an opposing attorney wins against you, and then in front of the entire courtroom and your entire staff, shakes your hand like that and slaps you on the back to display his physical dominance over you, you are just gonna be cool with it? Being shown up like that as a grown man? I think you're a little socially retarded, but that shite would not fly with most grown men.

If a back slap defines you as a man then you have a lot.more trouble.with.life than a win or loss

i think most "grown men" are too irrationally prideful when they shouldn't be

what constitutes this magical rivalry thing that you say cant exist in the nfl?

It's just there...you can't explain but like obscenity, you know it when you see it.

The NFL is far too unemotional and corporate - it's about building stadiums and moving product. You are just cheering for laundry for the most part...NFL teams don't represent cities like they used to...apart from maybe the Steelers and Raiders and the Saints. A couple of teams in the NFL that acknowledge their roots does not a real rivalry league make.

well the professional naure of the league, first of all, makes it difficult to develop real hatred

among players, free agency kills that. you can literally switch teams to your hated rival and it isn't anything

think about joe horn or bobby hebert going to the falcons

on the team level, the cooperation and corporatization of the NFL has made it somewhat of a bland product. from the uniform rule to the unsportsmanlike rules (which college is copying), to fines for saying the wrong thing at press conferences.

we are going to talk about corporatization in the bcs era of college football?

and talking about saying the wrong thing, how about the usc rb that got suspended due to a comment he made?

I don't think anyone would really argued that.NFL rivalries are better than college....besides you. It's not even really that close. Hell the board melted down for Russell havong a bama boy chain on.

it's about the spread of the corporate culture. nobody knows how to squeeze a buck out of a third party like the NFL...NOBODY

well he admitted to an NCAA violation

it's not the same as being suspended for him saying how much he hated UCLA
