Danielson on the "not in same class" comments

"He doesn't deserve to be. I mean, why would LSU fans want to put him in the same class as Trent Richardson. You should make your players earn their notches up the ladder... Right now top dog is Trent Richardson."

DANIELSON IS 100% CORRECT ON THIS ONE.........
People need to let things go.
I love Ware. He runs like a BEAST!!!
Richardson is a step above.

I mean, what has Trent done to earn his notches up the ladder? Play behind Ingram for two years? Yeah he has more yards than Ware this year, but he doesn't split as many carries as Ware does. Ware also hasn't played the stout defensive fronts of Kent State, North Texas, Vanderbilt, or Ole Miss.
I have no issue with Danielson saying Ware isn't as good as Richardson, but to say they aren't in the same class is just dumb. Its not like Richardson is some RB god and Ware is a walk-on. They are both starting RBs on SEC teams that are in National Title contention. I'd say that alone puts them in the same class.

Tr seems to be much faster than ware

Is he being disrespected, maybe. But all this does is make Ware even hungrier when we play Bama. And that is never a bad thing.

He said this almost verbatim each of the past two weeks. If it were one passing comment, I might dismiss it but danielson has some major crush on Richardson or hate for ware. Just wait, he will do it agin next week. I hate his biased play calling and opinions.

He's not even close to being wrong in this instance though. Did you see that freaking run? Ware, at this point in his career, is not capable of that.

Which of the 2 would you prefer to tackle?

I'd take a dive if either were coming at me.

I just don't understand the comparison, though. Do people sitting in the booth at the Oregon games yammer about this when James is running? Do we hear this when Lattimore runs at SC? When I watch any other games with any other running backs, even our other backs like Ford and Blue, Richardson's name never gets uttered but for some reason, let Ware step on the field and Danielson gets Turrette's for some reason and involutarily starts sputtering, "Richarson" and "NOT SAME CLASS! NOT SAME CLASS!!" repeatedly. It gets annoying.

Ware runs with passion. TR runs with power. Power will run out, never the passion will.

What I would love to see is Spencer Ware playing LB going head up with Trent Richardson. Talk about a collision. He would destroy opposing running backs just like he does opposing safeties now.

Richardson is top dog running back in college football, so Ware and every other back in the country is a notch below. The words "in another class" are what is throwing everyone a fit about, as that seems too dramatic of a thing to say, but the notch above word choice is dead on. And I love SW also, but c'mon folks, it just does not matter.

Have you considered the possibility that it's because Ware is more impressive than the others in a way that's closer Richardson? That Danielson is actually complimenting the kid as being that powerful of a runner although not yet quite up to Richardson's level?

I agree with VOR. Just the fact that he is comparing Ware to Richardson, who may very well be the best RB int the nation, is a huge compliment. No one in their right mind could argue that Ware is as good as Richardson at this moment. But Richardson has gotten more opportunities. Hell, this is almost comparable to Ware's freshman season considering how little he played prior to the bowl game last year. Where the OP views this as a knock on Ware, I view it as a big compliment.
