Getting games on 360 or PS3

I have both systems and am going to get a lot of upcoming games:
Ace Combat
Batman: Arkham City
Battlefield 3
COD MW 3
Skyrim
Assassin's Creed
Saints Row
Is there any reason to get any of these games on one system or the other?

My rule of thumb is if it has online multilayer, I go box. If not, I know graphics will be better on the PS3, so I go that route.
Just my preference.
Just my preference.

It really depends on you. Do you have a bunch of friends that play on PS3 or 360? Do you have interest in playing with people here on TD, or any other web forum you might be registered to? Everyone can give you the answers for either system but ultimately it is your decision on what crowd you want to play with. If you like playing with your friends and they all have 360's then naturally you should select 360.
I started off as an Xbox fan. I loved it for the longest time, and then came MLB The Show. I literally bought a PS3 JUST for that game. I play a very small amount of games. It's either sports games, or FPS. Ever since Battlefield and Call of Duty has come out, I have moved away from the sci-fi shooters like Gears of War and Halo. My wife uses my 360 for netflix, and I took my PS3 with me on my deployment. I haven't touched my 360 since i've returned, and I have no complaints.

I always buy on the 360 if available because I like the controller much better

I would buy based on what will get the most out of it. For example Assassins Creed series always has more exclusive DLC on PS3. It has for the past 2 anyway and will again this time but anything with a multi player that I will play I get for Xbox. I don't play the MP in the AC series.

I get everything for 360 because I like the controller better. It may be different now, but as of a couple years ago, most games that were multiplatform ran better on 360 and looked as good if not slightly better on 360. That being said, articles usually come out by release for bigger titles letting you know the difference for each platform. If you don't have a preference between controllers, go by what those articles say.

I hate this argument with a passion. It's not Sony's fault that 360 doesn't have the ability to use Blu-Ray discs. Sony won that HD fight, and now it's like they are being punished for it. Look at the Exclusives for PS3 (Heavy Rain, Infamous, Uncharted, MLB The Show) All of those games are absolutely beautiful. I wish for just ONE year, that PS3 and Xbox 360 could make the same game but on different discs. If they would put the multi platform games on Blu-Ray discs, it would run so much smoother.

That has nothing to do with it.

i always go 360, unless there is an issue with the controller or multiple discs.
LA noir was multiple discs on 360, so i went ps3
dark souls two most used buttons are l1 and r1 (bumpers on 360) so i went ps3. hate the bumpers.
my 360 has way more hdd space and i like to install all my games so i go that way whenever possible. i've had one ps3 die on me but 360 never has so just feels safer.
you have no choice but 360 for both of these, much bigger online community

See, I was the opposite. I had 2 360's die, and my PS3 is still running strong.
