I went to my parents house this afternoon

And as I'm leaving my dad, tells me to help him with something in his workshop...
...as he opens it up and hands me two Abu Garcia reels with two Brand new BPS casting rods!! I was blown away!
These were two of his favorite reels while we fished when I was younger! He told me that he stopped using casting rods and felt I would get the best use out of them!
Just another story of how much my parents mean to me!

That is fantastic. Now you should take him fishing.
IMHO, you should leave the gifts of possesion to others and instead buy gifts of shared experiences for your parents and loved ones.

This leads me to a conversation I had yesterday at the gas station. Guy pumping across from me, nice Tahoe, eye black as the ace of spades and a lip that looked like a pumpkin. Well...I just had to ask.
" they sure are proud of this gas."
" yes they are."
"so what the frick happened to your face?"
" my brother hit me a few times."
"nice brother."
chuckles..." yeah, well I deserved it. He caught me fricking his wife."
I should have bought his tank of gas for giving me that story.
