Fat Cow Burgers on Highland

We piled in here for a postgame snack after Kentucky last week. Damn good place as far as I could tell. Most of our group just got malts and shakes(I'll vouch for the chocolate malt), but my oldest and Mrs O got "small" burgers, too. Very nice product,IMHO.If I was in town for this game, I know where my casual postgame dinner would be.

I've eaten there twice now. Burgers are good, seems to take forever though.

This.
The burger was great, duck fat fries were a bit overhyped/overpriced IMO, but all in all I will definitely be back. Also liked the inside and the patio they have...could be a cool place to hang and have a beer or two and catch some football games.

We got there early after the game ended...not a bad wait. But, looked like they were stacking up some customers as we were getting our order. I saw the kitchen mamger tell the grill cook to throw on a load of patties as the door was swinging with customers before they even ordered, so he was trying to keep up. It ain't a drive thru kinda place, but the quality and portion size is there.

Went there the other day after work. Maybe 4 people in the entire place, didnt take long at all. Just long enough to cook the burger. Had the smokehouse, it was very good. Ditto on the duck fries, nothing special. Onion rings were very good though. Will certainly be back. The 120 burger is supposed to be very good.

I went a few weeks ago. Got the 120 burger and thought it was great, maybe even the best in town. The duck fat fires were also good, but I didn't think they were anything special.

Got the sicilian a few weeks ago. Great burger, think caprese salad on a burger.

Just went back yesterday after the game. Food came out quick, and the burger was excellent. My main complaint is the price. $11-13 bucks for a burger and fries is a bit too rich for my blood...especially when I can go get a burger that is just as good for $5-7 bucks at Raoul's and that comes with fries and a drink.

Had the Sicilian and the Napa. Both were good, nothing spectacular though. I'll be back.

Where do people go out to eat where they're paying less than 10 bucks? Outside of fast food places, it's very tough to spend under ten.

This is why we need more plate lunch places like laffy has. And a johnson's boucaniere.
There are a few places in town though that are priced well w/ good food though. Zeeland St and Calandro's come to mind. AM Mart for a quick cheap lunch.

Yeah but if you get a drink you're over ten bucks at Zeeland.

Whole Foods has a serve-yourself sort of salad bar and food bar; 1 lb. food for $7.99. Pretty reasonably-priced lunch if you ask me. I had around .80 last week for lunch and it was $6.25 or so.

Yeah I hit up the Asian counter about once a week and it is pretty reasonable.

I walk to the games from my house, so it was nice last night to pick up a burger on the way back to the house for dinner.
They've definitely worked out some of the kinks from their opening couple of weeks.

I went to Fat Cow recently and had a large burger with Gouda cheese and onion straws. The meat on the burger and the onion straws were both great, my complaints are that the cheese was not melted at all (it was just several small chunks placed on top), the bun was cold (they could at least heat it up a bit...), and it was expensive for burgers. Nice place on the inside and they were extremely busy so they may do this stuff usually and just didn't have time when I went.
