Thoughts and prayers. Keep the faith. It's amazing how quickly they can get on track.

We had a good day. The EEG showed improvement over the last one. He is on the minimal settings on the ventilator and they are considering extubating soon. MRI is coming Wednesday.
Last night was rough, but we handled it well. We went for a couple hours this morning, came back and rested, and then went back this evening. Just getting back in.

Slick, As a parent myself, and from reading your first message. I was seriously in tears as my children are my world so it hits home with me...
May he Lord offer your son, your wife, you and family the strength to hang in there as he does his work. The Lord has a place for all of us, it is in his plan to place us where he needs us.
Godspeed

How did Trevor do last night?

dang Slick.
Sorry it took so long to read your post.
Ever since the birth of my baby girl(she had complications too but not that bad) i do not take any of my times spent in the outdoors for granted.
I take more pictures than I used to just to be able to relive those good times when I can't get away.
I comment to my friends all the time while out on the water how beautiful South Louisiana is.
My trials in life have made me the man I am today and I am thankful for them.
My prayers go out to you, your wife and your baby.
May GOD bless you all.

Trevor was extubated this morning (breathing tube removed). He is breathing on his own now. He does have some additional oxygen being pumped into his nose, but the breaths are all his own.
He has a lot of secretions in his lungs (flem), that he needs to get out. Similar to when you have a chest cold, every breath he takes feels pretty rough. He'll eventually get strong enough to cough those up, and his breathing will look a little more peaceful. Hopefully he'll progress enough to where they can keep the breathing tube out permanently. We'll be heading back up there again this evening after I get some homework done and Jenna gets some rest. We're still pretty drained, but are both hanging in there.

Things continue to look better and better. No matter what getting off the Vent had to be priority number one and you all did that. That is wonderful! Now we'll keep praying for everything else to continue to fall into place.

We're hanging in there. Hopefully tomorrow's MRI will give us a better picture. Praying that it gives us some positive results.

Any updates from last night?

He was doing really well when we went last night. I called the nurse before shift change this morning and she said he had a good night. He is still breathing on his own with a little bit of extra oxygen being pumped in through his nose. He's doing well with it so far.
I came into work for a little while this morning, but will be heading up there in an hour or so. He keeps fighting and we keep praying.
