I wouldn't mind seeing geography taken out of the question.

Put Mizzou in the east. That somewhat makes sense. You're just splitting the divisions by drawing a line NW-SE.

I like the idea of a NorthEastern Div and a SouthWestern Div.

Nothing would really have to change all that much.

I've said the same thing 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times in various threads yet many seem almost excited at the prospect of complicating schedules as much as humanly possible by moving Auburn to the East instead.

Missouri in the West and Auburn in the East sounds good to me.

and I understand why they are because they have traditional rivalries with those teams. But if you like the way things are now, and who wouldn't in the west besides ole miss and MSU, then why wouldn't you just want UM to go east.

Its simple, keeps things the way they are. If you wanna change anything up team USC and A&M as permanent cross rivalies and team Arky with UM. This would get a good rivalry going between arky and UM and IMO would reduce the SWC feel somewhat.

If you really wanna get rid of any SWC feel team UM with UK, A&M with USC and put arky and MSU(or whom ever UK plays) with the left over teams.

main thing is to preserve UA-AU, UGA-AU, UA-UT, LSU-UF.

Thats the big 4 cross games. A&M and USC would be another biggie and so would Arky-UM.

In the end Slive and company need to KEEP IT SIMPLE! Don't rock the boat. We have an amazing thing going and if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

I'd be willing to give up Arky-USC if we could play Tennessee every year. Arky and Mizzou should be in the same division and play every year anyway, and no way would I want Vandy to be our permanent East game. Why should Bama and AU get preferential treatment in regards to the games they want to keep? They each have two games that they deem "untouchable." No one outside of Bama-UT gives a shite about that game, and the conference shouldn't have to build itself around that game.

listen mother frickers from arky, we allowed you to come into this conference, you dont get to come in here and start trying to break up the most historic rivals we have.

I would love for arky to play UT every year but why would they give you that game over UA-UT? Why should you get special treatment?

and AU wouldnt be getting special treatment stayin in the west. Its more of a punishment more then anything.

Bottomline is the SEC has an amazing thing going and we don't need to rock the boat as much as possible. thats why UM goes east.

It keeps things simple and all rivalries stay in tact and you form new ones simply by switch USC to A&M and Arky to UM.

besides we still dont care what yall think.

AU would fit much better in the East than Missouri.

West-East
Bama-AU
LSU-UF
Ark-Tenn
A&M-USC
MSU-UGA
Missouri-Kentucky
OM-Vandy

Because those games were first.

while i agree LSU, UA and OM were here first and we asy we want to keep the AU rivalry in the west and not rock the boat.

and UA and AU still wouldn't be the cross rival. UT and UA would still be the perm. So arky doesn't gain anything.

the third saturday in october is what this conference was built on and is more important then the iron bowl.

If we MUST keep Bama-UT, AU-UGA, and Bama-AU, then put them all in the same division. They insist on playing each other but don't want to have to compete with each other for a division title.

East:
Bama
AU
Tenn
UGA
UF
USC
Vandy

West:
LSU
Ark
A&M
Missouri
MSU
OM
Kentucky

Given that the two Bamas would likely move East, in the West LSU would be stuck with aTm, the two Mississippis, Arkansas, UK, and... Mizzou (if they come in). I'd say most of the SEC glamor teams would be in the East. So the imbalance would be huge; it would have to be a random split to keep both conference divisions interesting, exciting and competitive.
