I think Toy Story, BTTF, and Indiana Jones are the only trilogies I've seen now that I think about it.

But I LOVE BTTF and IJ. I could watch all 6 of those movies all day. I always leave the channel on whenever they come on TV.

The Bourne Identity - 83% (7/10 average) on Rotten Tomatoes

The Bourne Supremacy - 81% (7.2/10) average on Rotten Tomatoes

The Bourne Ultimatum - 93% (7.9/10) average on Rotten Tomatoes.

I think you're in the minority, pal.

Godfathers are probaly the best quality wise.

But I'm a sucker for Back to The Future. I will watch them anytime they are on.

Star Wars... first 2 great, Return blew
Indiana Jones, First one great, second one mailed in, Crusade = Awesome

Agree with these two, although I did very much love the Throne Room scene in RotJ. It was a sign of things to come since Lucas finally got complete creative freedom with the franchise for the first time. Han was supposed to die originally, but he changed it because he was concerned that it would negatively impact Han Solo merchandise sales if he did it. Thats what kind of a frick George Lucas is. If you have read the original outline for RotJ that Irvin Kershner and the other writers had in mind for the final installment, it will make you want to pull all the hair out of your head in anger. The ONLY thing he kept in the original outline was the Throne Room scene, which not ironically was the only great part of the film.

I just like the Bourne formula and I thought the action was tense.

The other choices are great series but, like I said.. consistentcy was my only basis of vote.

now, I haven't seen the toy story movies. And although my nostalgia loves Back to the Future the Wild Wild West one was really bad. (minus irish MJF)

LOTR is the best, but I guess it's not really fair since it's one story drug out over 3 movies.

BTTF is the best but only until A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas is released in November

Not saying it's best but somebody should mention The Naked Gun Trilogy.

Another extremely consistent trilogy. I'd say its undoubtably the greatest comedy trilogy of all time.

Lord of the rings trilogy on Rotten tomatoes =
92%
96%
94%

Toy Story
100%
100%
99%

Hard to beat that. I dont understand why the drop off in percentage for the last one as I thought it was just as good if not better than the other 2

Edit: I see why now. 3 trolls reviewed 3 that didnt review 1 and 2. Armond White being the biggest troll of them all

Recently re-watched the Trois Coloeurs triology by Krzysztof Kieslowski (who also may hold the title for the best decalogue set of movies), encompassed by Rouge, Blanc, and Bleu. Excellent set of movies if you like art-fig type stuff.

Not neccessarily best IMO, but most acclaimed is star wars followed closely by LOTR. In one year, this batman trilogy will make a run for the top spot.
