Lee is the starting QB. Whether JJ plays or not is up to someone who knows best, Les Miles. If you are a real LSU fan you will support Les in his decision, because he really really does know more about football and the team dynamics. If you are some ignorant X-Box sports nerd trying to be one of the men, you start dumbazz threads like this one.

Absolutely - this is not even a question is it? Heck, even if it was in question, jj hasn't practiced for over a month. We will need him later in the season and he'll get his chance to prove himself through the natural course of things. Mett may have to wait a year now, but that's ok.

UNCOMMON CENTS: (agree with the name) We don't have the experience or expertise that Les Miles has but who knows how good Lee would have gotten over the two years if Les wouldn't have taken Lee out of the starting position in the first place and worked with him. You're so smart, dude. This is a place to vent. Give us a break.

...then I looked at the Obama comment and I totally understand your comments. Oh, and the picture holding a gun on a kid in uniform...AWESOME

Per Miles' on his show:

"Miles said it would be inappropriate not to recognize what we've done so far with the position at QB.

JJ may play some of the time.

It's JL's opportunity now"

I doubt anyone argues with you. Its the just in case. We have needed more than one qb to finish out the season dating back to dinardo and even before that.

I don't mind if Jefferson plays a little here and there but lee will be the starter and he's proven he can beat good teams. Miles knows what he's got with both QBs and the play allinh had been stellar so far this year, don't worry

I agree, but this is a stupid statement that turns a good post into an idiotic post. Lee has been out in tigerland before, dont kid your self.

Lee all the way. Watching the offense over the past several years struggle to execute, have any cohesion, or even look prepared for a snap has worn me out. This year has been wonderful and I am not prepared to go back to the Suck that was 2010.

JJ offers zero plus side.
"He's Mobile." --> Gets Sacked too much.
"He can run." --> Not nearly as well as any Running Back on the Team.

The only two possible arguments for him playing and they aren't very good.

Ah yes, the ever popular and equally fallacious argument that the head coach is infallible. Unfortunately, the infallibility defense was vitiated when Miles elevated Peveto and Mallory to co-DC over the justifiable and ultimately accurate objections of many fans and posters. Irrespective of what happens at Qb this season, the infallibility fallacy is just stupid and obviously untrue.

I hope JJ runs one short side option and never sees the field again so he burns any chance at a redshirt. I would rather live/die with JL all year then bobble between QB's trying to get tricky.

Lee gets sacked, our oline sucked in 08 and 09.

None of our rbs have an 80yd td run nor have they met JJs totals yet. Which they will regardless of who the starting qb is.

Well a lot of us may not be as smart as Les Miles. But speaking for myself, I see an LSU offense that now works under Lee's leadership. I see receivers who mostly catch whatever Lee throws in their direction. He can hit receivers in stride, LSU can move the football pretty consistently and the scoring machine is working very well. So I hope Coach Miles can see at least as much as I can see after 4 games. And as you say...

Lee has played very well in these 4 games.

Lee has taked advantage of this opportunity and if I were Miles, it would be the J Lee show.

Now, I can see JJ getting some reps:
3rd and 2
Red Zone

Otherwise - J Lee.

So you know whats best for the team? Youve been in the locker room with these guys for the past 4-5 years? Youve been a father figure for some of these players for the past 4-5 years?
