Please outline what they have changed, and we will see who knows what.

Whether they will admit it or not, most LSU fans are really concerned that Les will do it. That he will put his blind loyalty to Jefferson ahead of the what's best for the team, and a truly special season could go down the crapper.

Dude, seriously? You really believe this?

I feel bad for Jefferson, but it was his own behavior that lost him his starting position. He was out at a bar late at night. Whether he kicked anyone or not, his actions caused him to lose his spot. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Lee has done everything right, including staying at LSU behind a quarterback that he is better than. He stuck it out and it is paying dividends for Lee and LSU. If Miles cuts into Lee's playing time to reward Jefferson's irresponsibility, it will be a HUGE mistake.

Lee and Jefferson MUST HAVE different offenses, Jefferson could never throw in the situations Lee does and Lee could never run in the situations Jefferson does. The receivers probably would rather Lee at this point, Rueben could be AA by season's end with Lee, he could end up like Toliver with Jefferson.

Wouldn't go that far. He could be All-SEC, but no way he makes AA. There are guys tearing it up at Okie State, Clemson, USC, and Oklahoma. He might get honorable mention.

exactly, I can see Rueben making 1st team All SEC & Odell Beckman Jr. making the AA Freshman team. But Rueben being a All-American is a stretch.

If JJ takes one snap this weekend I will get up and leave and will not be back in TIger Stadium until he and Les Miles are gone.

He hasn't practiced in 6 weeks.

The earliest he will play is Auburn unless we are RUTSing on Florida or Tennessee..

He's not even in football shape, hasn't been practicing with the team, and doesn't know the game plan. How the frick is going to start an SEC game? Some of you people are fricking retarded.

Yeah...I do...I am concerned about this....and so are a lot of other people on this board.

Miles is anything if loyal. He may feel that Jefferson has been wronged, and we all know that Lee wouldn't be starting if it hadn't been for the incident at Shady's. Add to the mix Miles' head-scratching devotion to JJ, and none of us know what he will decide to do.

Well this is the Rant, after all, never a bastion of rational thought. What I don't get is the irrational attachment by posters to either QB based on their respective performances prior to this year. JL was dang lucky to have had some INTs dropped by the DBs, otherwise a lot of his supporters last year would have been howling for his head. Look, the fact of the matter is that both QBs have had their struggles, and Lee has never been a juggernaut. Neither has JJ.

All the speculation that Lee would have been so much more effective than JJ is just that, speculation. Lee made some questionable throws last year that showed he had not completely turned the corner. JJ was not perfect, but, geesh, goodness, neither was Lee.

Lee seems to finally be coming into his own. Miles is much smarter than you give him credit for. The sky will not fall if JJ comes back. Chill.

I take it the Rant is in pre-meltdown stage waiting for Les to make the call on JJ.

Has LM even said if JJ is back on the team yet?

He hasn't been practicing with team has he? Even a player of JJ's caliber needs some time to practice with the squad before jumping into a game....even against Kentucky.

Agreed!

Of course, the cart is before the horse. JJ is not back on the team, much less declared the starter. Why on earth some peoples' panties get in a wad over mere speculation, is beyond me.

Personally I think JJ should just cut his losses and move on with his life.

Our first consistent offense in 4 years should not be fricked with by bringing in JJ.

Lets be honest here, the dude is abysmal at running the option, so my opinion is don't mess with success and cause team dissension.

Unless he is reinstated and practices today, he can't take a snap this weekend.

Funny...that's the same thing I said about Lee in January 09. Damned glad I was wrong about that one.
