Any pointers from Dads out there that have been in my shoes is much appreciated. Parking, Seats, Timing, etc.

How old? I've brought my three boys starting at age 2. They are now 4,6,8.

Park in Kirby Smith lot or the grass behind it around 8-9. Go to the top of the hill and watch the players, cheerleaders, and band come down the hill. Bring them by the Tiger cage, teach them the cheers for each down, etc., etc., etc....

Should I wait until I get there to find tix? I'd hate to take a chance and get the wrong seats. Whats the best place for him to sit?
Thanks.

North endzone is the most fun, just keep the youngins away from the students in the upper sections...they can get stupid and crazy.

I remember going with my dad, good for you dad, the boy will be a tiger fan for life and will never forget the experience!

I would suggest:
1) limited tailgating
2) visit to Mike's cage (even catch when they load him into his trailer)
3) a good spot to watch the band come down Victory Hill (maybe by the journalism building)
4) be in your seats for pregame
5) cash for the concession stand
6) cash for the concession stand
7) he probably won't be as interested in the game as you might hope
8) take what the defense (him) gives you

there are still tickets available for the game on LSU's sports website. If not you should be able to find 2 or so around the stadium an hour or two before the game.

Is the upper bowl better for visual or try to get as close to field as possible?

Make sure to go to the habitat early enough, your boy will get a kick out of that.

I'm not sure I would direct you to the NEZ with a 4-year-old.

Yea, I think I'm going to try as far away as student section as possible. Don't want him running into me 12 yrs ago.

You said 4 years old, right? First things first...if yours is like my two, I had to plan damn near everything around bathroom trips. Plan effectively.
Secondly, you're bringing a 4 year old, so be prepared to have to deal with him and potentially not watch the game at times. Just the way it is...unless your little guy is really into actually watching the game, he's gonna' get bored during the game at some point.
Snacks...and lots of them.
All the other stuff is no sweat...the day is supposed to be great, no weather issues and because it's an early game you won't be lugging a 4 year old out sleeping.
Have fun!

I took my little boy last year to the Tennessee game, his first game. Don't get there too early and go by Mike's cage. Just keep him moving! We sat near the field on the 45 yard line with a bunch of old people and that worked out fine. I did not think immersing him in the student section would have been a good idea for lots of obvious reasons. He still can't figure out why or how we won that game since we were in the tunnel leaving with a loss and won by the time we got in out of the stadium. I just told him, that's the way we roll. Have fun!

Yea, I plan on probably having to leave at halftime. Do you bring snacks in a bag or just bring plenty of cash for conessions?
Thanks again for all tips.

If you are going this saturday, an 11:20 game will mean you are in the sun the entire game.
