For all the shite we've given him over the past 3 years...I'm so glad he stayed. Great guy.

"I was a young player, but that's college football," Lee said. "That's life and sometimes those things happen. I grew up a lot, and I wouldn't trade '08 for anything."

I don't think I could ever say this if I had the experience he had. AWESOME.

I agree with the article that as a fanbase that attacked this guy a shite ton in '08 we should feel very grateful/lucky to have him after the situation that took place this offseason.

With that being said, lets not jump to conclusions and crown him just yet. The meat of our season is just over the horizon.

It sure would be a great story if he led us to a NC after everything he has gone through.

Saturday we play the 3rd of what will likely be 6 ranked teams we play during the regular season. Lee is already waist deep in "meat"... No homo.

You seem to misunderstand the whole "persevere" thing. No one is crowing anyone, anything.

This is already Q1 story in college football. We just need to get to the "back end" of the season as CLM likes to say and win it all! Hopefully Lee will have another good one Sat. night. He definitely deserves every good thing that's happening to him. Yes, we are blessed to still have him around. He's the type of quarterback that can lead a team to a national championship. Just what LSU needs to make it happen. All the other pieces are in place and stars are aligning nicely.

A vast majority of the fanbase is jumping the gun on his performances so far. I'm all for giving credit where credit is due. But, lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Nevertheless, this article is great and speaks the truth about Lee at LSU.

It's not about the games so much as his character and him not giving up.

Lee said the low point came during LSU's 27-21 overtime loss to then-No. 1 Alabama on Nov. 8, 2008. The Tigers miraculously blocked Alabama's 29-yard field goal with three seconds left to force overtime, then Lee threw his fourth interception of the game on LSU's next possession.

Team Jefferswag

The topic is perseverance. Not about an All American QB.

been supporting Lee since day one.

What now, haters?!

and yes, I do realize it's just three games of decent QB play and he could implode at any minute but so far so good. I wish we had stuck with him all along.

Let me be clear about this, I am NOT saying JJ is a complete a-hole, but the movie would be better if he were portrayed as one. I suspect they'll go with the Lowery version of events at Shady's.

My whole argument has clearly gone over your head. I'm not talking about an All-American QB at all. I'm glad that Lee decide to stay here and not jump ship to another University. But, at the sametime I'm very realistic about why this article was written about him.

You are the only one arguing "your argument." No one else is in the conversation.
