If the Big 12 stays together, A&M kind of looks like dicks.
You leave a conference because you think it's failing. It stays together. Then you join a conference that still needs a 14 member with very few options. It's like you just jumped because you were a little pissy kid. I'm kind of annoyed with the expansion talk.
The SEC has a culture all its own, and I don't see how A&M fits in that culture.

not like texas OK. in no way would i compare y'all to them. but when this thing first started there was no mention of it on this board or other sec boards that i visited. i discovered texags and everybody there was talking about it. some did indeed act like the move was all y'all and the sec couldn't possibly turn you down. i laughed at those posters because they really didn't know much (officially) and y'all may have been playing a dangerous game. then, the story grew legs and many of the "rumors" came true (with the sec meeting in atlanta). i then saw that a&m and the sec were way down the road from what i thought AND we wanted y'all and y'all wanted us. as it turns out, some of your posters had some damn good inside info. yes, y'all have some dicks but no more than us. most of y'all are pretty damn cool and i look forward to continuing our annual game. when i was a student (long, long, loooonnnng ago), we played every year and i enjoyed bantering with aggie fans.

The aggies are not relevant in footbal! Not in big 12 standards ! And especially not in SEC. Standards!!!!. shite, fellow tigers act like having the aggies in the SEC is the best thing since slice freaking wonder bread! AGGIES SUCK! They bring nothing to US. Their football games are rarely televised! Tiger fans stop sucking the aggie choad.

We beat you 5 out of the last 6 times...same could have been said for you in the 80's/90's. How relevant were you then? Every program has ups and downs.
We had a bum coach (Fran) earlier this decade who almost killed our program. Thanks a lot Bama...after we give you Bear Bryant and Gene Stallings and you give us Fran in return!

I like to think it was my decision but sure; knock yourself out.
I'm personally ecstatic about yall deciding to grab your balls and step up to the SEC. I think this will do wonders for the recruiting at A&M and LSU at the expense of OU, OkSt, TTech and UT. If we're smart about it we'll alternate the SEC Championship between Atlanta and Jerry World every year to increase the SEC's exposure in Texas and in doing so funnel even more recruits to our programs..especially LSU's.

Texas A&M wanted to come to the SEC. The SEC is very happy to have the Aggies in the conference.
Texas A&M Officials handled the process with class and integrity.
Now, in 2010, when the Aggies almost made the switch, the Big 12 persuaded them to stay. Nothing wrong with that. That's business.
One year later, the business deal, from A&M's point of view, did not turn out like they thought it would, so Aggies decided to move to the SEC. That's business. Happens all the time.
I'm 57 years old, have followed LSU since I can remember (my Dad attended LSU games in a coat and tie...my family goes way back as supporters). We all think this is great move for the Aggies and the SEC.
Just remember, part of being in the SEC means lots of trash talking, but as most football fans in the country know, when it comes to bowl season, the chants of SEC SEC SEC display an incredible sense of unity.
So, quit worrying about what everyone thinks. Most fans hate the SEC, and we, the fans of the SEC, wouldn't have it any other way.

It was fairly obvious to all that the SEC wanted aTm just as badly as you guys wanted us. And no your school did not look like dicks. If anything, I think most of the country was relieved to see someone in your area of the country take Bevo's limp dick out of their mouths.

The Big 12 is done in 1-3 years. This was a brilliant move.

A great program with an enormous fan base and solid collegiate sports tradition, you tired of tu media dominance.

The Ags are a superb fit for the SEC. Years of great competetion ahead, beginning in 2012.
