It’s a position former Arkansas athletic director Frank Broyles can appreciate. Broyles, who moved the Razorbacks to the SEC in the early 1990s, attended Wednesday’s meeting and addressed Slocum during a question and answer session. “I’ve said for the last 10 years I would crawl to Texas to get you all in the SEC,” Broyles told Slocum. “We benefit more than anybody with (Texas A&M) coming to the SEC.”

Any chance that the Ark/A&M game will go back to the schools' stadiums? or is it set to play out in Dallas for seven more years?

That is the most interesting question to me Chicken and has been since the Pod system was presented.

I would think Arkansas and A&M both suffer in a Pod system if they continue to give up that home/home game. Pretty sure Jones has iron clad 10 year agmt with seven more to come.

Would be interested in hearing what fans of both schools think.

I just wished they'd (Arkansas) move our game from Little Rock to Fayetteville.

I haven't heard it discussed really. I would guess it will stay in Dallas at least the next 7 years.

Both schools like the recruiting presence it gives us there and we both make more off that game than off a home game by a wide margin.

Its no coincidence that Texas/OU have the RRS and also dominate D/FW recruiting

I think Jerry would allow a each school to schedule a different opponent as long as each game is still played at Jerry world.

I hate that game being at Jerry World. I've never set foot in that stadium, but it's an absolutely sterile environment on TV. During the Oregon/LSU game, the announcers went on and on about how loud the LSU fans were. I couldn't really hear them at all.

I would love to go back to a home and home with Arkansas. If we really value playing a game with them in Dallas, move it outdoors to the Cotton Bowl. Yes, I do know that that will *never* happen, but it's my two cents.

This. Neutral games, specifically in that damn stadium, are ruining college football. Unfortunately, is all about the money, but that stadium represents what is wrong with college football. Taking games away from the students, and playing in some 22nd century stadium in which you rarely even look at whats going on at the field. You are starring at the big screen. No pageantry at all.

Considering we both make $5 million a piece of the game, I imagine it will stay at Jerry World for the duration of the initial 10 year contract. I imagine the two additional 10 year roll overs will be cancelled however.

I imagine after the A&M series is done there then we will pick up another team to play there. My guess would be either TCU or Houston.

I could foresee some Texas politicians pushing for a Texas/A&M matchup in Jerry's World.

Texas' potential share of that game would likely persuade the Texas people who want the Texas/A&M game to end to get off of their high horses.

ETA Though Reliant would obviously be a closer venue.

But if 10 million is the payout for the game, Texas will probably want 7 million of it.

I think it'd be more than 10 mil. Could see 12 easily, then A&M keeps their 5 Million, Texas can have its 7 Mill, and A&M gets to play Texas with a SEC talent laden roster. Win Win for everyone, lol.

If payout is 12, Texas will then want 8 or 9. To hell with Texas.

Agreed. I've cheered for Texas once in my life. 2006 Rose Bowl, and that was because I knew both teams couldn't technically lose.

Though in hindsight if USC would have won the win would have been vacated leaving no winner

A&M does not play 2nd fiddle to tu. We will not play them if they demanded over 50% share

As far as moving A&M-Arkansas back to campus, I suspect that they will end up playing out the contract before that happens. If the SEC were to go to a 9 game schedule, I'm fairly certain that the game would remain at a neutral site as this would allow for a balanced schedule of 4 home games, 4 road games, and 1 neutral site game per year. However, if the SEC stays with 8, having a 4-3-1, followed by a 3-4-1, may not look like as good of a deal. Both schools like the Dallas exposure and the money, but only having three conference home games might be a tough sell, particularly for Arkansas since they have to cater to Little Rock by having games up there.

Even for the chance to humiliate them on national tv? (will eventually happen if Texas continues to grow fat on crappy conference competition while A&M is forced to get better from SEC level competition)
