Unknown if they would stop at 10, or proceed back to 12.

quote:

The source also informed DSB that prior to the Sooners courting of the PAC-12, the BYU Board of Trustees had authorized President Cecil O. Samuelson to move all of the school's athletic programs into the Big 12

quote:

If the nine remaining members of the embattled conference can indeed kiss and make up, they will almost certainly move rapidly to add another school to replace the departing Texas A&M. It is not clear if the conference would immediately look to get back to 12 schools or expand even further. However, the source at BYU believes that if the Big 12 is in fact saved and solidified, adding the Cougars to the conference could happen quickly, even within a matter of days.

Good, hurry before a team like Missouri decides to leave KU behind. For some reason I love that rivalry. Don't want Mizzou leaving the Big 12.

If the Big 12 is serious about long-term stability, BYU alone won't save them. They need to be contacting more schools.

Big 12 needs to add 7 to get to 16 to really be stable:

BYU
Cincinnati
Lville
WVU
UCF
USF
Boise State (I know about their academics and small market).

Not even Mack Brown could screw up in such a pathetic conference.

Whoopie!

Are we going to go down this same road next year? Because this fall was just like last fall?

The Big 12 stinks (stability-financially)...it's going to have problems for the foreseeable future.

Women's basketball games are on Sunday a lot of times.

There are some men's basketball games on Sunday (typically spotlight games and then NCAA tourney games).

Baseball, as you said, and I woudl guess some of the smaller Olympic sports have Sunday games as well.

Big 12 should add BYU, Houston, and Boise State.

Or Tulane.

Big 12 may be serious about long-term stability, but Texas is not. They just need the conference to stay together for 3-4 years until they are ready to go independent.

Would love to be in these meetings trying to balance yet another school network - nationwide BYUtv. Equal revenue sharing is out of the question. What does T-Boone do now? This mess is far from over.

b/c texas probably does not see the Big 12 lasting beyond the 5 year deal they are discussing with OU and don't want help TCU grow their brand to the point of being an even bigger recruiting/state of Texas eyeballs threat.

Why 3-4 years? What happens then?

It'll take that long for the non-revenue sports to get admitted to the Sunbelt.
