So you're OU and you demanded that Beebe be removed as commish and that the conference implement tier 3 revenue sharing. This was back when you thought that you had options. If these things don't happen, what do you do?

The impression that I got was that the Pac 12 didn't want the OU/OSU combo without Texas and that it didn't want Texas unless the LHN became a regional outlet for their national network.

I wonder if OU could (and this is a big if) unhitch itself from OSU if they could find a home in a conference with a future. After all, this is a program with seven national championships. The idea that they were turned down by any conference is absolutely surreal to me.

The Bovine 9 is doomed. Even if OU does get what they want, there is zero trust in that conference. Texas is a bully and will always be a bully. I can't imagine any decent football program would want to be brought into that mess, which leaves them stuck at 9 with Mizzou and OU wanting out.

I think OU will try to use chance of SEC defection to maintain some control in the negotiations with Texas

there will be a no commissioner, no doubt about that...but why should tx give into any of OU's demands on LHN? there is nowhere for OU to go. i think tx might throw OU a bone or two, but nothing that will truly change the way things are run in the Big 12.

OU ultimately needs to grow a pair and come to the SEC.

I would not have said this yesterday but now that the PAC 12 has rejected OU, UT and the rest the SEC or Big 10 is about the only alternative OU has. Mizzou is hemhawing so I say go for it and get OU instead.

Go away. The Big 9 needs you, A&M. Don't leave your buds.

Won't happen.....

Beebe will get nuked.
Tier 1 & Tier 2 revenue will be equally shared.
Tier 3 rights/revenue still belong to the individual schools (just like SEC and ACC).

The B1G has already rejected OU, too....and, get this, would only think about taking them WITH Texas.

Only the SEC would take OU sans UT...but the Sooners are "too good" for the SEC.

Tier 3 rights are fine. But how does high school highlights fit into your tier 3 rights?

If OU goes SEC there is no way they keep both the Red River Rivalry and their game with OSU. Either way, they're going up against some pretty powerful forces...univer$ity of texa$$ on one hand and oklahoma legislature and T. Boone Pickens on the other. Not sure if SEC wants OSU along with OU.

They don't. That's the problem. If OU didn't insist on bringing OSU along, the SEC would take OU in a heartbeat.

Yeah, from what I've read this morning at newsok.com, no high school football (including highlights) is much more important to OU than tier 3 revenue sharing.

I am soooooo happy to be out of that dysfunctional disaster of a conference.

Tier 3, why should the horns give up any of the LHN to any of the other schools. Do you think Kansas wants to share the 7 million in tier 3? No.....aggies just wants to show everyone that, they can wear big boy pants too.

OU a great football powerhouse, but By no means will Texas give on the LHN. OU is only gonna have to equally share tier 1&2... It will mean they have to give up some cash,,,,hmmm sounds like the f;()Ed them selves!,

I don't know why the SEC wouldn't want OSU. They are currently at an all-time high as far as football performance goes and looks to continue with big money from Pickens going into the program. Their basketball team has more final fours than anybody in the SEC besides Kentucky. Had a great baseball program back in the 80s and 90s but has fallen off since the Big 12 formed. Best golf program in the country.

I think one of the long term concerns among Aggie leadership is the fact that there is no incentive for ESPN to remain impartial in their coverage of teams that are competing against their business partner (texa$). A&M has already been seeing it in their negative coverage and the overall lack of exposure. We are a No. 8 team it's frankly a joke that texa$ is even ranked at all...however, you would think that they were the #8 team and we were #23 if you watched enough ESPN. And no offense to any LSU fans, but it's also a joke that ESPN aka TEXA$$ is going to Morgantown, WV for Gameday this weekend rather than covering the #7 and #8 teams matching up at Kyle Field (one of the most electric venues in CFB) this wknd with potential Big 12 and national title implications on the line. Can you blame any Aggies for not trusting the texa$$/ESPN mega business partnership??? We just want to get away from it.

I thought about that, too. LSU-WVU really is the 2nd-biggest game this week.

Ha, I wont go that far. But it is in their best intere$$$t for texas to succeed at our expense. They would love to see our recruiting go back down to where it was in previous years allowing texas to get more 5 star blue chip recruits than ever. They will pimp their product (texas) at all costs. It is really unhealthy for CFB as a whole imo and i hope the LHN crashes and burns.

To be honest, I am just pissed/dissapointed that our game is at 2:30pm this saturday. Kyle Field is most rockin at night after everyone has been tailgating all day and the heat has subsided. I was really banking on a 7pm game this weekend. But i will be there regardless yelling my lungs out.
