One home game is removed from the schedule so the tean can go to Dallas and make money for the Athletic Department above and beyond what the season ticket sales generate ( Iknow, you pay for fewer games, but the AD makes out like a bandit with the difference). One game is played during the breakfast hour so that the conference can extract the maximum amount of money possible from the television networks. Accomodating the fan base is priority #245. Not saying I won't go. Just saying that they're building up ill will.

I'm sure ticket and merchandising sales will suffer.

You sir, have hit the proverbial NAIL on the head...the actual fans that BUY tickets and CONTRIBUTE via fees/funds/philanthropic...simply don't count for much of anything at all !!!!!

I hate to get involved with this pissing match, but:

I think sacrificing a crappy home game to play in Dallas was a huge advantage for LSU, mainly because they won the game. Also, the $ generated at a home game is more than a neutral site game. Also, I'm not sure about the last sentence.

Which only helps strengthen the 12 (and now possibly more) conference teams, which will ensure a quality team with outstanding facilities and support.

#1 or #245...not much difference.

The ill will is the minority opinion.

LSU playing Oregon in Dallas was a dumb move? I guess being the most talked about team in college football for the first 3 weeks of the season is irrelevant. Oklahoma is the #1 team in the country and I haven't heard a word about them until this week. Meanwhile, LSU has been talked about on national radio/tv since the middle of August.

Yes, it's called being part of a conference. Texas wanted to make their own rules, and look what it did to their conference. LSU plays in the best conference in the country, and we should do our share to help the conference when needed. They have been very fair with us in only scheduling 1 early game every 2 years.

Nope, sounds like accomodating NYCajun is priority #245. The rest of the fan base understands.

That's the problem with too many LSU fans. Yall hate day games (Especially at 11:30 am) but will not do what is necessary to effectively protest.

Simply don't go inside the stadium. Boycott the freaking game or at minimum, boycott the first half.

Doesn't matter if there's 92,000 or 22,000 in the stadium, LSU is gonna win that game. Nothing would send a statement more than seeing an empty Tiger Stadium at eleven fricking thirty in the morning! Kind of like a massive "We're mad as hell and not going to take it anymore" declaration. Would be a big "F YOU" to the S.E.C. and their "We'll move any game we want to the afternoon and you'll like it" TV contracts.

I know that many of you could care less about tradition and are so obsessed with being in that stadium that you'll be there anytime of day or night. Fill it up for Auburn and Florida, but fully or partially boycott the UK game and send a message.

The L.S.U. home game "Under the Lights" schedule of Northwestern State and Western Kentucky is a joke. It's totally unacceptable, but as long as the fan base continues to act like the women in a Ron Jeremy flick, it will continue.
