formal discussion of effects of expansion and consideration of where the ACC should expand

Jesus Christ you can't count anything out yet. You typed zero, as in never. Are you a retard?
Posted on 9/18/11 at 5:39 pm to Camp Randall
you can keep running your mouth saying the same thing over and over
or
you could type up any rebuttal to the list of reasons i gave which outline WHY FSU would not leave the acc for the sec

As I said just to shoot the shite? They can do that at home over some beers
The ACC is already expanding and looks like they may be done. What is there to talk about for the FSU board?
To say there is 0% chance is asinine. The only way that is true is if FSU isnt meeting.

If cuse and pitt already have offers on the table you can bet your arse if the ACC was planning on 16 they already know who the other 2 are

fsu planned this meeting before any of these teams had been reported to be applying.
Posted on 9/18/11 at 5:45 pm to jcole4lsu
They scheduled it before the media reported these schools were applying. If you think FSU found out when we did, then you're not thinking this all the way through. It's extremely likely FSU knew about this before they scheduled their meeting. You don't apply to a conference until you've had substantial talks with them already and are assured you're going to get in.

im well aware of that. so i guess a formal board meeting cant be for putting into record whats taken place so far etc.
the only thing any of you FSU to the SEC crowd has is a meeting, and you are all making assumptions on the reasons for holding it.
i have given a litany of reasons as to why it will not take place.

Key word. Teams dont put their name out there to the press until they know they have a done deal. This has been going on for several weeks. This didnt happen overnight. The only way that there isnt a chance of FSU leaving is if the "expansion meeting" was canceled. Other wise they are wasting taxpayer and tuition money by sitting around in a useless meeting (may not be out of the realm of possibility )
ETA: Im not saying its likely that FSU is coming. Im just saying there isnt really legitimate reasons to be having a meeting.

I've been reading a little on the FSU rivals board and their fans are pretty upset with the additions of Pitt and Syracuse. They want the SEC bad. Upset at being stuck in a basketball conference and calling it Big East II.

lol only a backwoods internet dumbass would be upset at adding a new york and pittsburg tv market to your conference.

I guess they're more upset at being stuck with who they're stuck with instead of in the SEC. And adding the Boston market (lol) didn't help them much.

Yeah, clear paths to BCS bowl games are such a bummer.

Definitely a basketball move. Syracuse seems to have given up on moving forward with it's football program. It's pretty much dead right now.

For one step off your high horse. You can say all day long it won't happen, but you have nothing but conjecture. Just like the FSU to SEC crowd has nothing but conjecture as well.
Why do you think adding Pitt and Syracuse does anything for TV markets? How big are these schools football fan bases? Do you have TV ratings to show that these schools bring viewers? Just because you have a market in NY or Pittsburgh doesn't mean that market has viewers or subscribers. You need someone to buy what you're selling for it to have value. I'm not making the claim that these are bad football markets. I'm just saying you're making an assumption based on no evidence.
This is the same thing you did on your FSU will never be in the SEC statement. You have no proof that UF will block FSU. You have no proof that Slive thinks FSU doesn't add to the SECs footprint. You seem to think UF brings every FLA viewer/subscriber. As far as the $20 million goes, TAMU's was supposed to be around $30, but was negotiated down to around 12-15. That wasn't going to stand in the way. FSU has a lot of very wealthy boosters. If they want the SEC, they'll pay for it. Saying there's "zero chance" is silly, especially when you have no sources inside FSU's thinking.
This doesn't mean it's even likely. Only that I'm tired of you running around on this thread degrading everyone who says it's possible.

So it didn't cross your mind that maybe FSU was in talks about adding South Florida to the ACC? Especially if the ACC already knows who the "other 2 are".
I would honestly be surprised if FSU wanted OUT of the ACC when they win their division almost every year which equals a BCS bowl which equals more $.
