There seems to be some borderline delusion on Da Rant today

a lot of "no way blah blah beats us" and "we would beat the shite out of them", also some, "we are the bestest ever"
theres A LOT to excited about with this team and the rest of the season, but people need to remember that we are good for at least a couple dud performances
perhaps some folks need to pump their brakes remove the p&g glasses

LSU has looked like a legit contender. Can't blame fans for noticing.
But I agree the, "We'll beat the shite of of anyone" is a little overboard.

Agreed. No different than WVU fans coming on here saying they're not impressed with us.

Why is it so wrong for ppl to get excited about their team when clearly this team is a legitimate national title contender....I mean after all that's why we are fans right? Because it provides excitement from week to week at the prospect of how good this team can possibly be. I for one am more confident this team can win every game moreso than I've been about any other lsu team. Will they?...maybe not. Who knows but this team just seems to have its shite together very early on and I think opening the season with Oregon has helped tremendously.

The overwhelming majority of comments I have read are actually very well founded and are based on what we have seen of other teams. Very little has been overt fan based myopic delusions.
The fact is since the cotton bowl we are struck with the undeniable reality that our team speed, physical play and unrelenting aggressiveness are setting us apart from most of college football.
I'm glad to see it and it is welcome after too many non-descrip years.

9 more regular season games one at a time starting next week on Sat night TV against WVU.

if you dont think the athletes on OU's defense would give us big fits, youre crazy. or if you arent worried about alabama running right at our thin DT rotation and suspect LBs, youre crazy
i dont know whether we would beat those teams or not, but blow either one of them out? or even beat soundly? no, not at all

our fans are getting a little too cocky. we still have a ton of games to play and a brutal schedule....next week isnt going to be easy
