Some banks just don't move too fast, but other are hungry and willing to deal. Check with all the banks in your area, and see which ones are loaning on new construction. I ended up using a bank that I have zero interest in.

The lending climate is just screwed up right now. I've found that over the last 2 years or so, the bigger the bank, the bigger the headache. The smaller community banks and upstarts seem to be more willing to make the deals and get them done that the larger regional and national banks.
