UF, Arky, Bama...Can we win all these games with the offensive strategy

displayed during the first three weeks? Line up, pound the ball even when the box is stacked and then try to play action a little off the run.
Defensively, these three teams will be the top three defenses we face all year and I have doubts that strategy will work against these three teams.
UF and Bama probably can be contained by our defense, but Arky will put up some points against us.

What makes you think Arkansas will be a top 3 defensive team we face?
But I kind of agree. I think we may get away with it against Florida and Arky, but against Bama, they will shut down our run.

qb play is improving.
RBs get stronger as the game goes along
Oline play is solid too.
MFord needs to imprvoe on pass blocking.
Im more concerned about field position with kickoffs and punts than anyting else.

I'm not worried about ark's def it's the off that is scary with them. They will find a way to score points.

It depends on how many points our defense allows.
If we hold all those teams under 17 to 21 points... I would say we have a shot to win with that offensive philosophy.

probably not. The offense needs to be opened up a bit. Can JL beat these 3 teams.

West Virginia could be

You really don't think that do you?

I was going to ask this same question to the rant. We run very few plays out of these sets. Don't get me wrong it's better than watching the Crowton cluster frick, but I would love to see us open up more when they are stacking the box.

They shut us down pretty well last year

Power O vs. D's that are built to defend the spread is money. Les is way ahead of the curve and this will be the coming trend in CFB.

Once again, someone has not watched Bama 2009.

With their secondary, they will load the box, and we will be done

miles is not going to try and score a lot of points if he doesn't have to - witness last nite.
he could have let lee throw passes for td's all nite long, but he was content against Moo state to take what they were giving and control the game.
from what i've seen, miles will adjust somewhat when he thinks he needs to score more. you will get the same philosophical approach, he will try to score as much as he needs to win. He is just not a light up the scoreboard guy.

And Bama's defense in 2011 is better than their 2009 version

One thing Miles will do is adjust it slightly to our competition. We ran the ball against Alabama last year but we opened it up in the 2nd half.

If we don't start getting more big plays from our passing game, we can't beat Bama.

-------------------------
this. Lee obviously has the talent to make the big throws when we need it...let him throw vertical to stretch the field...it'll loosen up the LOS so our guys aint running into 8-9 guys every frickin time
